These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
I'm paying with my Wells Fargo account... Maybe that's why? But I have made 6 n as much as 10 payments in a month. N I agree that Ive gotten 2% on everything I've used it on.
That is why! You can make as many payments as you want from a Wells Fargo Account. When it blocked me from making a payment it gave me the option of making a payment from a Wells Fargo account or calling Customer Service to make a payment.---A payment with customer service will NOT show up on your account for a few days. A online payment or payment in a bank is instant! I could easily put money in my Wells Fargo account--but it doesn't pay the kind of interest I'm getting at other banks. One of my checking accounts is earning 4% and the other is 6%. A decent bank that's paying 4% on checking is Elements Financial and it can be opened up from anywhere in US. A Texas, LA, and MO (I think) bank that's paying 6% is Origin. Both of these banks have qualification that needs to be met but Elements can all be done on the computer--super easy. Origin is a little more difficult but could be done on computer--but it pays on up to 40K and 6% so worth the extra trouble.
As an OCD financial fool, I kinda regret getting this card. The odd limit they impose on the number of payments that can be made per month is frustrating. I pay every card I have off at least a couple of days per week. Yes, OCD and overall pointless but it's who I am. Just a heads up to anyone like me...
The limit is 3 payments per month from outside sources. Not sure if paying out of a WF bank/savings account.
For example, if I buy a TV and pass the threshold, do I get the reward money right away or do I have to wait until the 3 months for it to come in?
3 days later next coming statement. Good thing about this card is that some months offering 10-20% cash back with limited amount(about $150) per transaction but unlimited transactions and received within week. Last month November offered 10% cash back on groceries and gas limited $150 per transaction. Bought few gift cards at supermarket. Last August and September offered 20% cash back on cellphone services limited $150 per transaction. So I prepaid few hundreds in my account.

This Wells Fargo Active Cash card is giving those offers you're talking about? I don't think I've ever seen these offers. Do they email you about them or is there a place on the account to view them?
I think I've only seen the "My Wells Fargo Deals" that offers percentage back (usually a small maximum back) on specific merchants, but not general categories like you mentioned.

My limit is 4 times. However you can transfer $$$ into a Wells Fargo account and use that to pay off credit card or make payments in the bank directly to the credit card. I guess the question is why do you pay it off a couple days a week? I am forced to pay mine off several times a month now because of charging and hitting the max credit line. Mine is still interest free so I keep the $$$ in a savings acct/high yield checking account earning interest and only pay it off when I need to charge more on it. Otherwise if you aren't in the interest free --then just pay it off on due date so you don't get charged interest. If you are paying interest then it might make sense to make more payments to keep the interest charge lower.

"I guess the question is why do you pay it off a couple days a week?"
As posted, I'm OCD and have no rational explanation. I do it with all my cards. Always have, and always will. Zero carried debt ever. The Amazon Prime card is hands down my favorite over the past few years. Chase/Amazon allows me to pay 104% of any posted OR pended balances. My OCB is in heaven. 1% CB sucks though when compared to others so I have my collection of cards. This WF is no longer in my collection, I can't get over the limitations.

LOL Guess I'm OCD the opposite way. I try and use other people's money (Banks) and keep my money working for me earning interest. Years ago I took out a cash advance from Bank Of America and had it put right into a checking account earning 7% and one that was at 9% for a few months. It was pretty cool watching the statement come in from Bank Of America and setting up auto payments from the bank that was paying 7% which had Bank of America's $$$ in it. Super nice profit from that deal. I think it was around a $1700 profit. When the 0% Bank of America finished I just sent them their own $$$ back that was earning interest for me. Sure wish I could get in on some of those deals again but now they are all charging 3,4 or 5% fee for cash advance.

Earn 10% Bonus Cash Rewards on gas stations and grocery stores, up to a maximum reward of $15 Bonus Cash Rewards per purchase, now through 11/30/2022
Same position I'm in. I got a letter saying I was approved and to expect some cards soon.... Why not just send me the cards with that letter?
Sadly same here, came to the comments to see if this was a common issue. Guessing their system got overloaded by deal hunters prepping to make a purchase.
I received two letters, both sharing that the card is on the way in 5-7 days, dated 12/2 but arrived 12/12.
I did go on a search for a way to contact Wells Fargo, their contact page is all phone numbers and I have already used up all my "sitting on hold" time for this month.
Good luck to all of us waiting on cards!

Agreed, I've used them for several years and never had a problem. This looks like a decent card with 2% on any purchase and with the bonus it's a go for me. Thanks OP!
