Not knocking the deal as it is the best price currently, but don't trust that MSRP for a second. It's $629 (+89 shipping) from Sam's club, which includes their return policy. In the end that may be a better deal for some people.

Facebook marketplace has had some crazy deals on gym equipment. A lot of people who bought equipment during the pandemic now wants to get it out of there living room, barely used. I picked up a Vectra vx-18 for $1100. I've seen Cybex multi gyms for as low as $900. You can not compare the quality between this and these high end machines. Obviously, this is local to me but I am sure if you are patient you will find a sick deal.

Sorry, but that's just wrong, especially on bench. You are much more likely to hurt yourself when using improper form and the bar path on a Smith is not correct form. For anyone out there reading this conversation, please, do not use a Smith to bench anything other than weights way under your max.

Go get a bench that has safety bar attachments if you want to actually lift anything heavy.

Honestly, this is why a cage or even a squat rack with holes for attachments are a much better investment, especially for a home gym. They tend to cost less and are more versatile for actual weightlifting.

It's absolutely not wrong. I'm not arguing that a Smith Machine is as effective as barbell bench or squat. It's not. If you know what you're doing (it's not hard) you can safely do both of those exercises with ample/heavy weight utilizing a Smith Machine, though.

good luck buy from this seller,

Mid June I ordered an intex boat from them, they added a fake tracking number and took my money, but didn't actually ship item, tracking number has no events.

Last weekend, one of their CS promised to ship replacement right away, which again didn't happen. After a few days back and forth they said sorry item is OOS, cancelled my order, claiming no replaceable item even they have similar item still on sale.

FML.
