Not sure what to think about that...I want to give them a try, but not sure if this is shady or just an oversite.

Stack Social has been around for awhile, I've bought a couple things from them before. That said I have no idea if they still have the same ownership as -5 years ago, or what the quality of these programs are. I remember them doing bundles like this previously but never grabbed any.

If you've got a prepaid card or something might be worth it to check out the free stuff.

Anyone actually checked out the courses?
I'm guessing pretty mediocre, but free is free.
SD Staff will push anything on StackSocial though bc of nice affiliate kickbacks etc.

This is from their site:

"Learn to program in CSS, one of the most widely used software programming languages in the world"

I've never heard anyone refer to CSS as a programming language. If they can't categorize CSS correctly, they probably can't teach it correctly either.

If you want to learn programming, there are a number of tutorials on YouTube. Check out freecodecamp.org

I agree. Most boot camps are as a waste of your time and money. Just go on YouTube, find a good tutorial series and build out your own portfolio. The portfolio part is the most important part.

If you have no experience and no degree, this is the only distinguishing thing about yourself

Free courses on youtube are probably on par with this. Personally outside of content I think liking the instructors teaching style is super underrated. Personally I pay for Mosh Hamadani (spelling?) after watching a few of his free youtube videos because I liked his style and speed for code alongs and the like. Something like 15 bucks a month but my time is worth enough that learning faster>saving a few dollars.

I wonder how this compares to the same program I got back in 2017 for $0. I still haven't used it, however I have been employed since B.C.

Freecodecamp/YouTube may be a better solution.
