I just got this on Thursday from the Prime day deal and am really liking it so far.

My work Thinkpad had Intel HD620 graphics, so I need to use the PBP mode with one HDMI and one USB-C to DisplayPort cable to do work on it (HD620 won't recognize the 5120 pixel wide horizontal resolution, and I think 630 may be the same way from what I've read). Only had two issues so far, and niether one is necessarily related to the monitor:

The first issue I've had is that the 6 foot Cable Matters USB-C to DP cable kept causing the screen to constantly flash a "check the cable connection" error in PBP mode, which is odd because the 3 foot cable didn't do this.

Ended up getting the 2M version of this cable and it's working for me, but YMMV: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

The 3 foot Cable Matters cable was this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

For gaming, I'm torturing my Zephyrus G14 (14" laptop with 4900HS and 2060 Max-Q) until I can get a proper desktop. Even so, I've been able to get 60FPS in Wreckfest with high settings at 5120x1440p and 35 FPS on The Crew 2 with high settings and 5120x1440p. Had to open the laptop to 120 degrees and put on "Turbo" fan profile in Armoury Crate, but still a serviceable enough experience (for some games) for now while I try to wait out the GPU shortage.

The second issue I'm having is the G14 won't let me output in 5120x1440 unless my laptop screen is also on. If I choose to display only to the monitor then it switches to 1920x1080 with black bars. So the above-mentioned performance is with the laptop also showing some additional pixels of desktop, although I'm unsure how much of a performance hit that is.

I was worried about the curve being too much for work but if anything I kind of think I could have dealt with an even steeper curve, and I'm definitely glad I didn't get a 3800R curve panel from one of the other manufacturers. I work mostly with speadsheets and various modeling software and haven't had any issue reading text. That said, I'd probably want to actually see a 1000R G9 in person before I'd commit to going to more of a curve,
You're winning because you're in a position to drop $900 on a monitor
You can tell UPS/Fedex to hold it at location.

I'm again agonizing over whether to go ahead and buy this or wait for a G9 deal. Held off on the prime day deal and then was kicking myself for not biting on it afterwards. Now the problem is that if I order this today, it would be delivered on Friday when I'm out of town. In store pickup is not an option. Can't win...

How's this compared to the 38 inch Alienware AW3821DW ? Its 3840 x 1600 vs this is only 1440 so I guess theres more vertical space on the alienware ?

Bought during Prime days, I was a bit worried about the size. It took me a day or two and PowerToys for window organization, but I'm loving this monitor. I paired it with a fixed TV arm mount rated for 66 lbs, clamped to my desk.

I swear I saw a $100 cash back offer on the Amazon page on Prime Day, likely a targeted deal or an acid flashback. Did anyone else see the extra incentive? I was signed into my account so I doubt it was a credit card offer or similar.

Anyone know with certainty whether computer monitors fall under Walmart's standard 90 day return policy?

I never saw anyone mention this in the SD thread for that deal. Could have been targeted I suppose.

Huge difference in aspect ratio, 21:9 vs 32:9, depends on what you're looking for.

I bought this monitor on Prime Day. I bought it for office productivity, not for gaming. I'm on a MacBook Pro, connected via an Anker PowerExpand Elite docking station. I did have to buy a USB-C to DisplayPort cable (about $20 on Amazon). Without it, the monitor would only support 30hz.

I can confirm, the popping noise is present for a few minutes after turning this monitor on each morning. Nothing crazy, but it's noticeable. Other than that, it looks great and I love the real estate. Would recommend.

I also bought it for non-gaming use. It spans so far that you can go from A to CA (3 x A-Z) in Microsoft Excel. It's really a beautiful display.

You should be able to tell the shipper to hold it at the warehouse and pick it up from there when you get back. Or pay a cousin\sibling to pick it up for you lol

How many would I need to buy to create a perfect circle and sit in the middle of all of these monitors on a 360 degrees swivel office chair? I think I just came up with an idea at least 10 years in the future.
