I bought this last time for $55, so while this price is not the best price, it's a pretty cool device.
My only complain is that the D-Pad is pretty bad, you have to press evenly for it to register left and right correctly, otherwise it always goes a little up or down especially when you press right, and some games or apps don't support the thumb stick, you have to use D Pad. I wonder if I got a faulty?

Currently the best controller for phones available in my opinion. Been cheaper on Amazon ($55) and even cheaper at Walmart if you get lucky on brickseek.

I'm waiting for a gen 2 version (no talks of one being made as of now). Works great but there are a few things that could be better (D-pad and triggers)

I completely agree that the buttons feel crappy. I also bought it when it was on sale. Actually, I'm totally regretting the purchase at this point. Everything about this device feels cheap, except maybe the joysticks. And you're right, the right joystick often doesn't work in games where it should function as the look stick, even though it's supposed to.

A much better option would be to get an actual XB1 controller and a basic phone mount, which would be cheaper and have much more use outside of just pairing up with a phone.

Side note, I have a Razer Phone 2, which you'd think would work exceptionally well with this device... though, it does not. It's not as snug-fitting as you'd think either. Oddly, there's no matching RGB to keep with the aesthetic. Also, it does not fast charge while connected. What makes no sense is that it doesn't even come with a built-in battery to extend gaming sessions.

Bottom line: this is a cheap-feeling product that is incredibly overpriced and doesn't work as well as it should. The buttons are certainly not very good and wouldn't really be a good buy unless priced around maybe $20. There's no innovation here; it's just Razer putting out yet another trash product that doesn't do anything special, nor does it do anything well for that matter.

Don't buy this.

I got the USB c android version and couldn't disagree more. Absolutely love it. Also the Xbox controller with a clip is way to top heavy. After a short session it gets uncomfortable.

A cradle and Xbox One Bluetooth controller would be better no doubt. Especially if you already have the controller on hand.

I couldn't disagree more. I have this exact controller, got it for Christmas as a fun "you don't need it" gift, and I think it's great. It feels exactly the same, in quality and construction, as an Xbox controller. I don't get any drifting when using the D-pad or other. I was really surprised at how solid it feels. My only negative would be that I have to take my phone's case (Galaxy S10+ - ESR Metal Kickstand Case [amazon.com]) off before use.

Was just looking as this yesterday. Amazon is also selling refurbs for $55. I don't think I'm going to bite due to reviews, but it looks like a fun product.

I just bought the Android version on Prime Day and I love it. I don't normally game on my phone, but now use it to stream PS5 games to my phone daily. Using a OnePlus 7 Pro requires removing the phone's case, the passthrough charging doesn't work for me, and you'll need a third party app to stream the PS5, but those are minor inconveniences for me.

I highly recommend it for those looking to stream Steam or their PS5 to their phones.

I have a larger phone also and mine fits with the case now that I removed the rubber bumpers inside the Kishi. They come right out with just your fingers, and apparently they're designed to be removable. They're just there to protect your phone if you don't have a case.

I really like this thing, I bought it on a whim on the last Amazon deal. My phone basically feels like a portable gaming console. I have the USB C Android version and the is no input lag, it uses basically no battery, and the build quality feels fine once it's on.

The controller is two pieces connected by a floppy cable which is kind of weird feeling but once you stretch it on to your phone and it's locked in place it feels solid to me.

I love my Kishi. I have one as well as a SteelSeries Stratus Duo with clip for top mounting my phone. I use the Kishi almost every day, and I never use the SteelSeries with phone mount. The Kishi is much more comfortable and I never have to worry about a second device with a battery. With my Galaxy S21 Ultra I can slip on the Kishi without even removing the case. I use this to play PC games streamed from my gaming rig and its fantastic. Control, AC Valhalla, Cyberpunk, all play great on this Kishi/phone combo. One of my best purchases in the past year.

I bought this knowing it wouldn't fit my phone (Fold 2) however it was a fun experience for me modding it to work.

I bought this on prime day for 40, because I've been eyeing it for a while and was curious how much better a usb c connection is over bluetooth. I have a generic bluetooth android controller, equivalent to the ipega black ninja. I tested several fps, open world, and fighter games on nvidia geforce and steam link via LAN and WAN.

Although i do believe the kishi has a slightly noticable input latency improvement, and better ergonomics, i am not convinced that it is a better buy than a bluetooth controller, especially considering the premium added to the cost. Lacking bluetooth is a real con for me, as I sometimes connect my phone to the tv via hdmi and use the bt controller from the couch.

The only reason I am not returning the kishi is because while testing i realized that steam link now allows connections from multiple devices for remote play! I also saw on reddit that the kishi works via usb on windows if you can find the right adapter cable.

So imo, at this price i think you are better off with a bluetooth controller. Maybe this depends on your skill level or the games you play, but even with barrierx (the best game i have to test input latency!) My best times were within a second of each other over remote steam link with about 90ms of latency on the connection. Even if usb c is 50+ milliseconds improved over bluetooth, it doesnt seem to translate to much with remote gaming. YMMV
