Mechanically that might be true (I.e., power beats technical, which beats speed, which beats power), but the gameplay rewards knowing monster attack patterns (just like in action MH games) and there are layers of skills across different weapon types and "monsties" that make the game so much more strategic than that. I can understand anyone playing the demo for a few mins might get the same impression but the first game was a lot of fun and after finishing the demo for the second I am tremendously looking forward to this one.

Totally forgot Target could price match. I am just afraid this game will be at $39.99 in 2 months. That's what I have been experiencing with all my purchases. Every game I bought dropped significantly.

Totally forgot Target could price match. I am just afraid this game will be at $39.99 in 2 months. That's what I have been experiencing with all my purchases. Every game I bought dropped significantly.

Was excited for this game, then played the demo and realized the battle system is just glorified rock,paper, scissors. I was out after that

I preordered the PC version. My kids really enjoyed the first one and cant wait for the sequel. Great price if you want the Switch version.

Very unlikely. MH Rise released in March and it's still $50. Maybe on BF.

There's a demo? Cool. I'll definitely download it then. I hated MHW and less so MHR, but maybe this one will appeal to me.

Well if you want to play it right away, preorder it, but if you have a backlog and are ok with waiting, then I'd wait. It will probably go down in price but not that much

I just tried to price match on Best Buy and it doesn't work for pre-order items. I guess I'm canceling my order with BB and going with Walmart.

Apparently the physical copy of this game requires a 15gb download. I'm noticing that a lot of video game stock photos don't show the "download required" label.
