I'm not buying, but I would assume wait for that spilled liquid to cool down or use a towel? or use a lid or taller pan/pot? or a touchscreen glove? You know, things you would normally do with a regular stove (i.e., use a mit if the pot is hot; don't overfill your pan, kettle; etc.).

I have a single burner induction with touch controls... Not a single problem. Only the surface below where the pot was ever gets hot and that's just because the pot itself conducts heat, not from a flame or heating element.

Spills are no problem. Never too hot to wipe up right at that moment.

I use my portable induction all the time, even with the option of my gas burners at the helm. It boils water very quickly... But more importantly, it doesn't heat up the whole kitchen. This is a huge deal when cooking soups for hours on a hot summer day.

Yes, induction cooking is the best - boils water faster than a microwave or gas stove, can surround your pan with papertowels (even under the pan) when making bacon, and no one seems to have mentioned, I think most have an auto-off function if no pan on the stobe (or even if nothing is in the pan - it's MAGIC! 😁), so turning off in case of a spill is no problem, just remove the pan from the stove!

Lift the pot... Induction cuts it's "power" aka magnetic field instantly. Wipe it up easily because the top doesn't get hot and continue..Ive had 2 inductions for 15 years.

I dont use a touchscreen glove and i dont wait for anything to cool down when it's spilling and there's an emergency - i turn it off, because my stove doesnt have the knobs next to the heating element.

Actually, it was why would i buy this if it's going to be an issue, but you keep doing you and keep your helmet on while walking.

I don't know about the double induction top, but I recently bought the single induction for $30 and 1800W is way enough for me to cook, I believe that's 440-460F at max temp. 1500W combined tops sounds fairly low imo.
