PLEASE FOLLOW STEPS OUTLINED BELOW and DO NOT USE WAGS CASH TO PAY!

1. Log into your Walgreens Account www.walgreens.com

2. Clip or see if you've already clipped the following Coupons (ALL MUST BE CLIPPED PRIOR TO PAYING)
  • You can find coupons to clip here:

    https://www.walgreens.com/offers/offers.jsp
  • Earn $5 Wags Cash wys $20 (most accounts have this but not all)
  • $4 off 2 colgate
  • $4 off 2 colgate (two coupons total, clip both)
  • $1 off 2 Blue Diamond Extreme Almonds cans
  • $3.50 off Softsoap/Irish Spring Body Wash or bar soap

3. Add the following items to your cart (use instock at store button on left hand side of page so you know what items are available at your local pick up store)

4. Your total after digital coupons come off will be $10.06, you will earn about $11.20 back in Wags Cash ($4 on Colgate, $2 on Colgate, $5 on $20 offer and regular purchase amounts) Sales tax will apply based on what's taxed in your state.

TIPS: ALLOW LIMITED SUBSTITUTIONS FOR SAME BRAND (ie other flavors of BD extreme, other Colgates at same price which earn the Wags Cash) BE SPECIFIC in your Substitution comments.

DO NOT PAY WITH WAGS CASH, if it drops below $20 using wags cash, you'll void the $5 Wags Cash offer.

Addtionally, if you use the FETCH APP, you will earn the following by scanning your receipt:

850 points x 3 on the Colgate items (2550 points) and 2000 points on the EXTREME flavor Almonds (1000 points x 2) these points are worth $4.55 towards their gift card redemptions! (assuming you haven't maxed out on these offers yet)

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, ASK THEM. Don't threadcrap the deal if you don't understand it, happy to answer questions or concerns.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Definitely dead. Second $4 Colgate coupon has been deleted. You'll pay more out of pocket than in the OP.

Check the last pages of the thread for difficulties SDers are encountering

Your post description about this being "free" is wrong, though. It's $10.xx in real money in exchange for $11.20 in Walgreens Cash, which is neither a gift card nor real money. Walgreens Cash expires. It is not real money that can be used anywhere, hence this is not free. Your post is essentially an investment which could result in a minimum 50% off a future purchase you make while your Walgreens Cash is valid. The additive $4.55 in returns from that cash back site is better.

Not saying this isn't a good deal. The end of your post where you micromanage people by saying "no threadcrapping if you don't understand the deal" isn't necessary, especially when you yourself don't seem to understand the difference between free items and investing money into a future purchase. Your whole post describes the latter. FREE would be them giving you the items with either no monetary exchange, or by giving you actual money back that at is at least equal to your purchase amount.
If you want to play the semantics game. be my guest. Obviously there's a finite amount of space in the title to include info and I was VERY CLEAR how it was made free. Now, if how the items are made free (a trade off of sorts) doesn't interest you, then pass on the deal, but a War & Peace lecture elicits an eye roll from me because it was spelled out RIGHT IN THE TITLE. Had I said free and gave no info on how it was 'free' I'd deserve the lecture.

It's the same thing with deals that are free after rewards at Office Depot or any such deal.

In the world of deal hunting at stores like Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens, Office Depot, etc most deal hunters understand the 'free' concept in that you are given equal or more spending power to use again. These are stores that people shop at on a regular basis, so paying Wags $10 now to get $24 worth of stuff to have another $11 to spend tomorrow is actually better than them giving me $24 worth of stuff for $0 now than not having even more to spend the next time (and an extra $4 towards gift cards at FETCH if you use that app).

As for the threadcrapping, that had to do with not understanding the deal as far as the mechanics of it. I just find people who nitpick about it being 'free' especially when it's made clear as the sun in the title making much ado about nothing. No one was mislead and it's perfectly clear you have to spend the money now to get the money to spend again later. So what is the issue then? Don't want to go that route to make it free, then don't mess with it, but you can't say you weren't told even before you clicked on the thread.

And as to your 50% off the next time (head scratching) you are given back the same amount of spending power you just laid out. So the next $11 purchase is 100% paid for too, not 50% off that purchase, and you may easily earn $10 in spending power again on that purchase with wags cash or register rewards or a rebate or whatever.

and PS, Wags Cash is valid for 12 months, so the fear mongering about using it while it is valid is definitely over the top IMO.

I can't agree with you more! I am sitting on a lot of Walgreens Cash that I haven't used because I can't use Walgreens Cash to pay in a transaction if I want to earn a Walgreens Cash bonus in that transaction. So I keep accumulating and accumulating. And the cash can only be used in specific increments (unlike RiteAid, but RITEAID changed their rewards to expire after 2 WEEKS now!). The biggest thing is that tho' Walgreens Cash expires in 12 months, 'If you have not used your Walgreens Cash rewards in a transaction for six consecutive calendar months, then your membership will be deemed inactive and all accumulated Walgreens Cash rewards will be forfeited.' The rules read like you must USE some points in 6 months or you lose it all, So I have to be very careful and watch that, since I'm always just accumulating bonuses and unable to use my Walgreens cash.

In my case, I wasn't interested in earning more Walgreens Cash, I just used the coupon to get some SoftSoap body wash for 49c+36c-tax=85c. I made them take off the 10c bag fee.
Couldn't agree less!! Use of the word free in the title is misleading and clickbait. It has nothing to do with semantics. Free means not having to spend money. This deal you have to spend money and in return you get items and wag bucks. That does not meet the definition of free. OP knew this when they created the post!!! Disclaimed in the original post because they knew SD community would call them out!!! Now has to defend their use of the English language. It may be considered free to people that shop at Walgreens regularly anyways. But for all of us who have never spent a dime at Walgreens, this is in no way free.

So you never spent a dime at Walgreens, but you're in the thread raising cain about stuff you don't want to spend a dime on that would be free in a very short period of time if you simply shopped there? OK. thanks. I feel better now. LMAOLMAOLMAO

I don't believe it is valid on RX'es or alcohol/gift cards/cigarettes, etc.

I did this deal myself, my order is already ready for pick up!

Attachment 10287256

I earned over $11 in wags cash. Plus I'll get back the FETCH points worth another $4.
I have gotten burnt in past where it shows estimated cash as "$x" on the online order, as well as on the pickup receipt, but it never shows up in your account. On chatting with CSR, I was told that if I used coupon like "$5 WG cash on $20 or more", then my total after all the coupons should be $20+, otherwise I don't get the $5 WGC. Have you verified in your account, that you have gotten the expected WGC? Just want to confirm, as your total is below $20 after all the coupons.

Actually, I did have more stuff in my own cart when I was playing around with this deal, but the STARS code wouldn't apply (in addition to the OP list, I had crest tp's that were a deal). Guessing something is excluded in the terms of that Q that was messing it up for me so I just removed the crest from my order as there was no incentive to buy more items.
I fiddled with it a while and figured out that you need $25 after all promos and coupons to trigger the stars code, and if the 15% off dips you below $25 you need more stuff in the cart to avoid that dropping you below a total $25 in oop. That's a weird code. I needed sunscreen and tinfoil, so I threw those in and while it's not the maximum value for all the promos, at least it's stuff I need? I'll chalk that expense up to being in the interests of science to see what makes the code work.

I found the second Colgate coupon but keeps saying "Sorry, but you cannot clip at this time. Please try again later.."

Good deal otherwise.

I haven't picked up my order yet, so the wags cash from this one wouldn't show yet.

However, I did a deal just like this earlier last week, also the $5 wys $20 offer.

I bought $20 on a deodorant deal, used $10 in manu coupons (digital and paper), earn the $5 on $20 wags cash (confirmed) and a $5 Register Rewards. I just paid the tax oop net.

When Walgreens tells you 'cpns' messed it up, that could refer to Walgreens store coupons (which are often digital coupons on Wags on WAGS brand items like nuts) or an additional % off code like the recent SUNSHINE10 or the current STARS. If your total before manufacturer coupons is $22 and you apply a 10% off code taking $2.20 off the order, that $2.20 lowers your threshold spend to $19.80 before man Q's. and you won't get the $5. I learned this the hard way about a month ago. I didn't factor in that extra discount on my spend amount to get the $5.

Walgreens made an adjustment to my order. They were out of stock on two of the items and did not replace them. The order total is $8.50. Will they dedecut my Walgreens cash rewards of $11.22?

Hi Crablover, let me help you out here.

YOU CAN USE Wags Cash to pay for another WAGS CASH deal that is based on "QUANTITY". ie, the colgate deals I have listed are buy 2, earn $2 or $4 in wags cash depending on the $3 vs $3.99 colgates.

So, you could go online, clip the digital for the colgate, add 2 to your cart, your total would be $3.98 for the two $3.99 colgates and you could redeem $3 in Wags cash to earn a new $4 in Wags cash with .98 charged to a CC.

You can also redeem wags cash on a promo like this as long as the Wags cash doesn't knock you below the $20 pre tax/pre Manu Coupon level.

IE:

Subtotal $24.48
minus $14 in Digital Man Q's (but NOT Wags store coupons like on their own products)
Minus $4 wags cash (makes the amount $20.48 towards the $5 on 20 wags cash)

Now your new OOP is only $6 + tax versus $10 + tax and you've still earned the new $5 Wags cash so you're not sitting on more and more Wags cash.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, SUCHaDEAL! My Walgreens employees are pretty nice, but they often don't know how to do things. The first time I tried to use Walgreens Cash to buy something that earned a Walgreens Cash bonus, it didn't work & the employees said if I used Walgreens Cash, I wouldn't earn Walgreens Cash on the transaction. Because I wanted the WAGs cash, the employees voided the purchase & I rebought w/o using WAGs Cash. After that, if I was earning a Walgreens Cash bonus, I never used Walgreens Cash for the purchase so I was accumulating. I kind of understand what you are saying, but the time it failed on me, I was buying like 4 pizzas for $20, and was suppose to get $10 WAGS back (extra special deal of $10 for a $20 purchase). I used $10 WAGS towards the payment, paid $10 OOP, but didn't get the $10 bonus WAGS. I can't remember it fully, but when I didn't use WAGS cash for payment, it worked. Anyway, I I can try again, and then have them void the purchase if it doesn't work. Thanks for telling me I can combine them in certain cases. And you are right, the food storage bag B1G2 are an awesome deal, but I have a very large supply of food storage bags in every size from those sales already!

BTW, my local Walgreens has some weird pricing mistakes. For example, a 2L bottle of Dr. Pepper on-sale for $1, but the CRV came up as 40c+tax (should be only 10c in CA). Employees tried to convince me the CRV was supposed to be 40c. Easier to just void the transaction. I'm supposed to be cutting down on soda anyway.

Also thanks for explaining why people do the OD FAR deals. Yes, if you are recycling ink carts, then I definitely can see why you'd do these FAR deals. I used to do OD and Staples deals a lot, but my office supply needs have dwindled and I buy ink now mostly from Amazon or eBay -- ink is where I used to spend most of my OD $$ when I played the game. That and toilet paper Smilie in the old days when toilet paper wasn't such a commodity.
