This is GOOD feedback for Slickdealers, IMHO. Thanks,
The GA with the manual switch means eco can be turned off and the fan ramps up accordingly.
Not sure I can trust what you are saying. I have both the GA and the GT. The fan is not running at all on tbe GT, confirming auto-eco works perfectly. Also, I don't see any difference between the fan orientations in these 2 models.
The fan is not running, that's exactly the problem
There is no way to control your fan curve on the GT
Thermals are going to be worse. There's no way to disable the auto eco. Running a faster GPU and the GT is asking for trouble
The GA gives the option to disable auto eco, which is important for hotter systems.

I guess each use case is different. For me, the psu not even warm, so the fan not spinning is not a problem. Quite the contrary, less noise.

I know johnnyGURU works at corsair now (has for the past decade), but I rather trust him in terms of internal bias. Would pass on GA because of his opinions.
HEC used to be a poor OEM, but it seems they improved quite a bit.

The GT is the best value of the 3. It's the same if not better than the G1+, is shorter and is much better than the GQ.
Bought it on b stock for 45 thinking what a fantastic deal. Worked for 30 minutes and kaput. At least it didn't damage anything but @ $20 per RMA shipping I'm only doing it once (1 yr warranty on evga b stock also the clever fellas).
Got lucky and used a evga 600w white that goes on sale here from BB often and it lasted 5-6 years so I'm not too worried about any psu not being from a top tier manufacturer. With all the deals everyone who checks SD and needed a PSU probably has an EVGA somewhere haha
As a rule, I only take Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, and XFX without reviews. But as you can see with XFX on my list, my data is a bit old. Lately, I'd been going with EVGA units with longer warranties as a "safe" recommendation for people.

Aris (PSU tester with thousands in equipment) considers it a really good PSU with minor issues. Only considers stuff like the corsair RMx line better in same category due to quieter noise curve, granted slightly lower eff. Seasonic focus PSUs are also in the same category but have more ripple than the Super Flower G2 and G3.
Anything under 30mv @ 12v is usually really good, but the G2 (8mv 550w unit sample) and G3 (13mv 650w unit sample) are under 20mv which is exceptional.
G2/G3 is Super flower
G5 is FSP
GT is HEC
GA is Andyson and apparently not reaching gold consistency and has poor voltage regulation according to johnnyGURU on the specific tested retail sample. You do get a shinny 3 more year longer warranty though I guess.
HEC used to be a poor brand in terms of PSUS (Cheap thermaltake TR2 units used to blow up a decade ago), but they seem to have improved a bit.
The Cougar GX-F line is pretty much a slightly worse version of the EVGA GT. The 750w Cougar unit that was tested seems to have very low ripple.
I would agree that the GT is likely the best option out of the bunch right now if you cant get a G3.

Seems like this is HEC brand which I dunno...

I actually have a Cougar in my wife's machine right now because it was the best thing I could find last year.
I remember all those terrible Thermaltakes and still stay away from that brand. They supposedly have some good units, but the fact that they were willing to sell those when Corsair or Seasonic never would've considered it puts them in a bad spot in my book.

Nah like I was talking about earlier I had a junky white evga last 6 years till I replaced it with a EVGA 650 GM. Should be fine for the most part no need to worry, so far I just had a lemon I guess...

(I mean, Superflower does too, but they're not one of the top selling brands.)
