Not as good as the $250 deal from Amazon a little while ago, but good enough if you don't care to wait. I bought 2 of them on the Amazon deal and they've been working great other than a few brightness adjustments. Playing Xbox hurts my eyes now since I am now used to the buttery smooth 120+ FPS. I have them mounted on a monitor stand. Disclaimer: They are my first set of IPS/144hz monitors so I can't really compare them.

27" 2560 x 1440 IPS Display
144Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms (MPRT) Response Time
Smooth Gameplay with AMD FreeSync Premium
Studio Grade VESA Display HDR400 and 92% DCI-P3 (120% sRGB) Color Gamut
GIGABYTE Classic Tactical Features with OSD Sidekick
GIGABYTE Auto-Update
Ergonomic Design with Tilt and Height Adjustments
Low Blue Light & Flicker-Free
VESA Wall Mount Compatible 100x100mm
2 x 2W Speakers
1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 3.0

Good deal! Wish it was a curved screen.

Thanks. I've been looking for a decent 27" 1440p 144hz+ 1ms IPS display for under $300. Got 2 of them, they came to about $280 each including tax. Kind of want to get a 3rd one, but not sure how comfortably they would fit with 2 6" speakers and my tower on the desk as well, 72" desk.

They do have a G27QC, but unfortunately that wasn't this deal.

I felt the same way. Wanted good ones for under $300. Not just acceptable ones. I run a 4 monitor setup (2 top 2 bottom), but I only bought 2 for the lower two. My 1070ti hates me already for running 2 at 144hz lol.

How is text clarity? I've read this display is BGR, rather than the usual RGB sub pixel layout.

Is that good or bad for text?

From my research, BGR may make some text appear blurry, although I've never experienced that, since I've had RGB displays.

Not sure where you're getting that, but all signs seem to point to it being RGB. BGR is only used in TV screens I believe, not really computer monitors, although there may be some exceptions. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...abyte/g27q Text clarity rates well on rtings though.

Do you need HDMI 2.1 to get 120 FPS on the Xbox Series S w/ this monitor or would it get the job done with the 1440p/144 Hz it offers? Thanks.

Isn't that a VA panel though?

Hdmi 2.1 is only needed for 4k 120fps , this will be perfect for the series s/x for 1440p 120hz

I got a crazy deal for one a month or so ago, and think it's great. My biggest issue is that I have not been able to launch the software that let's you update the firmware (error when launching OSD Sidekick saying no USB detected), so I have not been able to do 1440p/120fps with the Xbox Series X. This is across 3 different computers with multiple usb cables connecting the computer to the monitor. Dozens of people have reported the problem online, and I haven't found a way to fix it yet, but I'm sure thousands have been able to update without issue, so don't let it stop you from buying it.

Other than 165hz, how is the LG better than this G27Q? G27Q is better in most categories and it's only marginal in the ones it's not better in.

Either way, I can't use a 32" in my setup. I run 4 monitors in a 2x2 config. I needed 27" ones.

Edit: misread "better" as better monitor when you intended it as a "better" deal. Yeah, for 165hz and value per inch, the LG is better in terms of cost.
