Sounds like a reasonable price if you like the look of the 75th anni. Check out the comparison between it and a Player Strat with maple fingerboard at this link:
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/...nniversary

The 75th has different pickups, possibly from the Vintera range, and a painted headstock and unique paint, but I think they're the same otherwise.
The 75th looks like a it's a limited run vs this mass produced Strat.

I like The 75th more, it looks more upscale.

The USED player strat I got in a different color the other day was 529. This one is new and cheaper.

774 player = 529 used
849 75th = 679 used

Seems about right.

Maybe buying this is the catalyst to begin! But I will say that I go long periods of not playing, too busy, etc., and it makes a great wall decoration as well.

If you don't play though, you could probably grab a squier off facebook market and it would look just as cool to most.

Finally bit on this one after multiple times mulling it over.

Excited to finally have a true Fender strat! And I loved the LPB color on my Duo-Sonic, so this will make up for my error of letting that one go, although I didn't like the neck as much as my tele. The shorter scale was good but felt too thick.

This is a great deal price wise. You cannot come close to this price for a new made in Mexico fender anywhere.

The telecaster I got from this deal was brand new and in perfect "new" condition - though it did need minor adjustments like every guitar will (unless built next door, the wood will change a bit when acclimating).

It arrived in a fender factory sealed box , which was sealed inside an adorama shipping box.

The maple fretboard is really fast and I haven't encountered any "sticktion". I usually prefer a "rosewood" type fretboard, but I have zero complaints about this all maple neck.

The color is a 60s style "sparkle" metallic blue, reminds me of old dirtbike helmets and the vinyl seats of fair rides. Coupled with the chrome hardware, blonde neck, and white pickguard, these guitars give off a very 60s race car kind of vibe in opinion (very cool, slick, and fast looking - I could see one of these leaning against Steve McQueen s couch).

One big tip for that traditional jagly, airy single coil fender tone is lowering pickup height from stock. This is especially true the more clean your tone is.

I have done luthier work for about 15 years now. In most cases of someone wanting to replace one type of pickup with a different model of the same type due to not liking stock pickups (replace single coil with aftermarket single coil) we have been able to find "their tone" with pickup height experimentation.

Be methodical about it, find the general height by making bigger adjustments, then fine tune near that area. Remember to try to balance the volume output of each pickup/ switch position. Also remember to try all your go to tones with different heights (at the very least make sure you try the configuration in your go to clean and overdriven tones). And lastly try not only all your different styles of playing but also at different parts of the neck to make sure the tone will work for what you like to do.

Experiment and find out what works best for you. although it reads like quite a bit of work this process usually takes around 45 mins for a first timer, and 15 or less for someone whose done it a few times.

I have this on alert---it's always been $519. When did it get to $480? You sure it was the same guitar?

I do this on my Les Pauls. Tend to tilt the pickups so they're further ways from the low strings and closer to the higher strings to prevent the heavy strings from drowning out the lighter ones nod

and fender has rose prices twice since 2019.

Wait until Fenders wood stock needs replenished at 10x the cost.

Get ready for official Fender aluminum guitars.

And have you noticed all of the recent Fender Made in Japan guitars? It might be economical to use them again.
