This is a good card to keep. 2 year extension in warranty for most purchases. I have had many things credited back including the cost of an iPhone. I have got rid of my prestige and keeping this one (both have same warranty benefit).
From my experience and also reading the comments this card is not for somebody with high credit score and low credit utilization.if you have plenty of high credit lines and don't use it you will et denied.
How long does it take for the card to arrive? Initially they said 7-10 days but when I called to expedite they said it will take 3-5 weeks. Kind of unusual for credit card.

I'll add my experience in here - Credit Score of 830+ and low utilization of credit. I was declined. Called in for reconsideration and they told me they don''t do that. Pulled up the credit report that had cited (Equifax), and found I have less than 5 new cards in last 2 years. Minimal number of hard pulls. Called back just now and was again told that they would not reconsider it - very short conversation. I tried to get more information on my report and they were not interested in talking to me. The rep really didn't seem to care and was a little brusque.
I applied just now and got instantly approved! As a data point, my credit score is ~815, and credit utilization is ~3%. I was nervous about applying given some of the other posts on here. Maybe having a non-zero credit utilization does help?
Anyway, I appreciate reading these threads and helping me come to the decision to apply. I just got the Double Cash card, so combined with the Premier card my goal is to transfer TYP to an airline partner in the future. Excited for the possibilities.
I never hated a credit card until I had this POS. Transactions were denied at random with no balance and no explanation. They also gave me only a $3k limit with a near 800 credit score.

That's only a Chase rule, nothing to do with Citi.
What do you mean by "minimal hard pulls"? Since Covid, anything beyond 0 hard pulls in the last 6 months = a likely denial. More than 1 hard pull is pretty much certain un-reconable denial.

Good riddance.
Yeah farking "shitty " keeps declining any charge over 500 in person
yes this card takes forever to come in, im on day 8 and still nothing
Did you have any luck adding it to iPhone wallet? (If you have an iPhone) I was able to successfully add it to amazon and PayPal but not my phone. Kinda annoying since the clock is ticking on the 3 months.

I opened account, I spent 5k in 2 days, I closed account, I got 850 bucks redeemed to bank, and then the customer service rep also gave me the yearly fee back too. I got like 950 bucks total!
closed it immediately didnt lok back, didnt evne hurt my credit score.
but to be able to redeem those points will take you at least a few weeks to first get them !!

now the card companies have other means to track churning. amex clearly says "based on your previous history we won't be able to offer the welcome bonus. you can get the card if you want without the bonus" or something like that.. I think citi has started to look into that kinda data as well.. specially people who opens a card with bonus and closes within the first year..
