Most big name (Acer, Apple, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ect..) budget pre-built computers like this come with propriety cases, PSU, and motherboards now a days. Everything else are standard size parts (CPU, drives, fans, graphics cards, RAM, ect..) and can be easily upgraded/replaced/swapped.

This Dell system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, video editors, graphic designers, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except hardcore PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own high-end $2000+ systems.

We have 3 of the G5 systems reviewed in that Gamers Nexus video. Ours have GTX1660 graphics cards, 10400F, 500w PS, 16GB ram, and a clean install of Windows 10. All are performing very well and we have not seen any heat or performance issues. My kids play the newest games on them daily (Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Madden, HOI4, ect.) While simultaneously having YouTube open, a couple web pages, and messenger programs. I feel as though the build quality was quite good for the price I paid. I could not be more satisfied with our purchase.

If you are just an normal person (like 98% of the population) that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you, and will serve you well for many years to come.

If you have a better deal on a pre-built system with similar or better specs available right now then post it.

Solid deal for those in the market for a gaming prebuilt. For those willing to take a chance, Newegg and micro center offer open box prebuilts at a steep discount. I just got my 3060ti rig for 1100, when shopping around I saw 2070s for 1100, and 3070 for 1300-1400.
Any links? Not seeing anything in those price ranges.

I just found my amex card has two dell offers, one 150 off 1000 and another 10% off, but I only added the first before the purchase. Will Amex honor both offers if I cancel and reorder?

So I did a quick search and couldn't find any currently available. But keep checking, I think stock replenishes daily, but seems to go fast since its usually just 1 or 2 in stock. I was checking every morning and filtering for 3060ti and 3070.

Newegg, microcenter, and dell outlet are your best bet. LMK if you are interested in the exact specs or pricing that I got. Good luck!

I guess $1100 is not too bad for stripping out all the parts and putting it in your own custom built system with case, psu and mobo. You're getting a lot of parts for $1100, especially for how much scalpers are still charging any RTX cards. But I'd like at least a 3060Ti card.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing what you got. So far the best I've found was a 3060 build through Dell EPP for $1399.

IMO $1400 for a 3060 prebuilt is too steep atm. For a 3060ti would be OK, but might just be best to move up to a 3070 at that point.

So here is the deal I ended up getting (through newegg):

[$1189.99] Open Box: ABS Master Gaming PC - Ryzen 5 3600X - GeForce RTX 3060 Ti - 16GB DDR4 3000MHz - 1TB Intel M.2 NVMe SSD

And here is a deal that I had originally ordered through microcenter, but they cancelled several hours after I placed the order:

[$1150] (Open Box) G435 Gaming Computer; Intel Core i7 10700KF 3.8GHz Processor; NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8GB GDDR6; 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM; 1TB SSD; 10/100/1000 LAN + WiFi 6 WLAN; Windows 10 Pro
1 of (SKU) 126557

The microcenter pc actually had some better cpu and ram, but a slight downgrade in gpu, but I'm happy either way. And when I placed my newegg order, I for sure saw 2 3070 prebuilts, i think one around $1380 and one around $1480. I think if you keep looking, you are bound to find something in this range.

Looks like the 10%CB from Ra__ten is back.
So if you have the Amex/Dell deal you get:
1170 (incl Tax) - 120 (Amex) - 110 (CB) -32 (Dell Rewards) = 908
You should be able to net 600 on the RTX2060 Super via eBay, recent listing selling for 700
908-600= $308 for an i7-11700 PC with 16Gb, 512GB M2 and 1TB HDD.

That system has RTX 3060 for not much more.
I tried opting for that card, but then the coupon code no longer works making it an additional ~$700

Costco has an XPS8940 with i7-11700, 32GB (2x16GB), 512GB M2, 1TB HDD and an RTX3060 Ti for $1599. You do get an extra year of support as well. But $1600 is still a little steep I think, however in today's market its not a bad deal on an RTX3060 Ti build.

Compare it to this build and you get an extra 16GB (120) and an RTX3060 Ti
1100 + 120 = 1220, is the RTX3060 Ti really worth 380 more than the 2060? eBay has them selling for 1100, so that's right about even with this build value wise.

This is exactly what I'm debating. I actually have 2 AMEX cards with $120 off $600 so I'm going to add the 27" 2k monitor for $199 and split the payment to get it twice.

Exactly. I tried building out something similar to this and it broke $1600. Plus, you could always add more memory, ssd, and if adventurous, try moving it into a new tower to add additional cooling features.

Since the RTX 2060 is too much grahics card for my needs, are there cheap GPUs (actually available) that would allow me to use a second monitor and at a maximum, play an occasional game on Tabletop Simulator or Among Us?

I checked the minimum GPU requirements for both games, and they seem pretty basic to my untrained eye:

"Tabletop Simulator Minimum Requirements.
Graphics card with DX10 (shader model 4.0) capabilities."

"Among Us requires at least a Radeon HD 3850 or GeForce 9600 GSO 512MB to meet recommended requirements running on high graphics setting, with 1080p resolution. This hardware should achieve 60FPS. 1 GB will also be needed to achieve the Among Us rec specs and get 60FPS"
