I would advise anyone who gets one of these to check and make sure it's not one of the recalled versions. I recently purchased one thinking I was replacing my recalled cap and the brew from the store item was also included in the recall.

They're as good as it gets for a plastic bottle though. They're better than the polar bottles. If you fill them with ice and cold water you can stretch about 2 hours out of them. I've tried a ton a bottles trying to find a lightweight insulated bottle which can stand up to 110+ desert heat. Your next option is a HydroFlask Trail, but they get too hot to touch in the desert or an insulated hydration bladder, which is the best option, but a lot of people don't like wearing them.
Great bottles for roadies, particularly in the 21 ounce size. 24 ounce can be a bit tall for some frames.

To people complaining they don't keep the liquid cold/cool for hours, you should be drinking a bottle an hour on the bike anyway (sometimes more) so they should be drained before the liquid gets warm. Besides, warm water is better than no water.

I bought two of these the last time it was on sale and neither of them were part of the recall. It's very quick and easy to check.

Insulation on these things suck. I bought one last year for bike riding and in warm weather, water goes from cold to warm within an hour. Tried again with ice cubes in the water and same thing, soon after. Not recommended.

Would you happen to know of the best insulated hydration bladders?
I have a Geigerrig which is "insulated" at certain parts but not sure if i would call it insulated. Really i only like mine because of being able to pressurize the bladder.

I don't think you can do any better than this with a basic soft plastic bottle. Double wall insulated stainless bottles are the best at keeping drinks cold for long periods of time but the downside is that they can get hot to the touch in the sun. I have a Contigo that will keep ice in my water all day without issue.

Keep in mind that these are plastic water bottles made for use with road bike water bottle cages, *not* double-wall vacuum stainless insulated water bottles. They're drastically better than the plain plastic water bottles you get from a bike shop, but they'll never be as good as the metal hydroflask style ones.

I got the larger one a month ago when this deal was announced. I would advise anyone using this on their bike to get the smaller one. Because the larger one barely fits in the bottle holder and frame.

I needed a bottle that would fit on my Echelon bike and this one was great. It's fits perfectly, easy to take a drink, locks so it doesn't spill and it keeps it pretty cold. I purchased the 24 oz and the one I received wasn't on the recall list. I would definitely recommend this bottle.

I have a couple of camelbaks that leak slightly... not enough to render it unusable.
