When I went to the Lowe's link, Honey popped up with bonus $15 in points, plus $5 for using a discount Honey GC for payment, plus 5% Discover CB with Paypal.

$80 all in ($25 savings with tax) stacking Honey points and discount GC thru Paypal with Discover bonus quarterly points.

YMMV. It worked for me!

Great deal for sure, especially with the 2Ah battery and charger!

Cordless not for me though.. I have a Ryobi Cordless orbital sander and really couldn't get enough run time with two 3-4 Ah batteries to sand even a medium sized project (3 grits) before running out. Ended up buying the Bosch corded sander for $55 which was great.

Everything else I own is cordless, just no good for Sanders IMO, unless you are sanding small projects

Agree, Ryobi has some killer deals especially through Direct Tools, in fact a recent deal on a bucket fan was tempting. I've resisted the urge to stray from the red and yellow, too many tools already, LOL!
I bought a Ryobi stapler that works well and a portable air compressor that was just too cheap to pass up.... even though I already have the DeWalt in the truck. I missed the so called hybrid Ryobi Cannon fan that runs on battery or cord that is a lot better than the little fans from all manufactures. But the work light, two 4amp and charger with a case for a $100 from HD is about what just the DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc., costs for just a light. If you split the deals on Ryobi days from HD, the two 4amp batteries and charger for $50 is hard to pass up.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you know that DeWalt is made by Black and Decker?

I grabbed one about a year ago with a similar deal and don't regret it one bit. It's great for small-medium sanding projects. It gets a bad wrap for run time but IMHO it runs surprising long with the compact 3AH I keep on it. I still use corded for bigger project as anything over a 4ah makes it pretty rear heavy and awkward to use. That being said I did use it for a couple bigger projects and it held up well just needed 2-3 batteries to get through it.
I feel the bad rap must come from people using it the highest speed all the time. I use a 5ah battery and Set it 2 or 3. Goes for close to 2 hours. Recently used at the highest speed to take a bunch of paint off off an old chair. Chewed through the 5ah in like 20 minutes.

Sounds like your know the limitations going in. In the right application, battery power is golden (or is it yellow?). Smilie

Yes, stacking worked for me. I purchased the GC saving 4.6% off the original total ($5), paid with Discover thru PP earning 5% bonus CB ($5) and picked up the bonus popup points ($15). Thanks for your service!
What are pop up points?

They are Bonus Honey points that "pop-up" (like those annoying adds you typically block) on the screen offering a limited offer for bonus points in addition to regular Honey points on random items. I have no idea the rhyme or reason, they may be specifically targeted based on previous purchases or searches. They often have a short time frame (as little as say 15 minutes) for claiming which is done by completing the purchase of the item.
The surprising aspect is I often see them offered (for my shopping habits, anyway) on items that are already at bargain prices. I suspect Retailers are working with Honey to move inventory such as products soon to be updated, etc.
I haven't seen that once while shopping online with the honey chrome extension, I tried to trigger it but wouldn't come up for me so I got a 20 off coupon and stacked it with the honey Lowes GC 5% and ended up paying little under $85 after tax

Edit: Also used PayPal for the Lowes GC via honey and saved another 5%

Can you attach buffing pads to make this a dual action polisher?

I don't really need the battery or the charger. Do they sell well on ebay?
