SAMSUNG LC49RG90SSNXZA 49-Inch CRG9 (5120x1440) Curved Gaming Monitor, Black, QHD, 120Hz

* Not yet in stock (but says "In stock soon") however you CAN order it now at this price!
* Have had my eye on this for some time. My research indicates that 49" Samsung CRG9 5120x1440 QHD 120Hz QLED Curved Gaming Monitor is $300 less (25% Savings) than the next best price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $1199.99.
* This matches this previous Frontpage Deal back on Amazon Prime Day, which sold out moments before I pulled the trigger :-( I'm actually wondering if this is a listing error of some kind (like the price is left over in their system or something).
* I think this is a great price if you're looking for this particular curved gaming monitor; the lowest we've seen was roughly in the ~$999.99 price range
* Reviews: This monitor is highly rated receiving 4.5 Stars out of 5 Stars based on over 2,900 Customer Reviews.

Specs/Key Features
* Resolution: 5120x1440 (Super Ultra Wide Display)
* Refresh Rate: 120Hz
* Response Time (GTG): 4ms
* Panel Type: VA
* Screen Curvature: 1800R
* AMD FreeSync 2 Technology
* Inputs
* 4x USB
* 1x HDMI
* 2x DP

I'm tempted to try this over my current 34" 3440x1440@144 LG 34GK950F-B, but I'm worried about VA smearing/ghosting/flickering.

What's wrong with a VA panel? And why does it get such great reviews (all over) then?

Because what you use it for matters. IPS is preferred for gaming, VA is preferred for visual viewing and not having blacks that are only grey.

In the TV world, we laugh at IPS panels and avoid them like the plague, because they look awful in dark scenes.

Thanks for explaining. I'm intending to use it more for multitasking and some minor graphics work. Not much of a gamer and just tired of the bezel between my two side by side monitors now. Looking forward to this one very much!
