The point is to produce contrast, by illuminating radioactive substances with UV light that excites them, and produces light in the visible part of the spectrum.
Not very helpful for avoiding stumbling in the dark while looking for scorpions, but the scorpions themselves will be much more visible.
Yes, I understand that, the problem is that it's not as efficient as my other 395nm UV lights, which are far more useful at spotting them from long range. Up close, it's great, but now I have to use two UV lights to find them when I thought I'd be able to just replace the old ones. "Bright" might not be the correct word for what I'm trying to get at, but I'm not really sure how else to explain it.
Will cancel my order
And I apparently paid this price for the same light back in March according to Amazon.
The 3 watts will be ample enough and sounds 'weak' but it's plenty to play around with. The 365nm led more than makes up for it, as I'd rather have a 365nm at 3 watts than a 380-395nm at 10 watts.
The only neg I see is the 'built-in' 14500 battery. I prefer removable batteries, but it's still miles better than any AA powered flashlight.
Unfortunately it costs more
