Note: I tried to order online and pick up at store and it kept giving me errors. I went to the store and they had one in stock and it rung up for the same sale price.

If you're talking about the Spectrum app on the Roku, I'm 99% sure as long as you don't delete the app from any device, you can add new hardware.

I signed up with Spectrum and downloaded the app literally days before it left the Roku store. I've purchased a number of new Roku streaming devices and Roku TV's since then and the Spectrum app has shown up on all of them.

JUST DON'T DELETE IT FROM YOUR ACCOUNT!! Smilie

I have both Roku Ultra and the firestick. I prefer this over the firestick because of the interface and the remote is easier to use. Firestick has too many ads.

I have this, runs nice and smooth and almost everything is an improvement over previous models. That being said I HATE the app specific buttons on the bottom and as far as I know there isn't a way to disable them. It happens way too often that I bump one while watching something else and it backs out of that and loads up the app of whatever one I pressed on accident. I am sure Roku got a kickback to include those stupid buttons but I wish they'd get rid of them or allow us to disable them because they suck.

YMMV on this experience. I have 2 Ultras from 2018 and I'm still getting good performance. For full disclosure I do have small microSD cards in both which allegedly helps with reloading apps. General UI experience is still pretty good in my opinion.

I have had to replace a remote, though. My kids are pretty tough on them, so that might be a contributing factor.

^^^this soooo much. I just bought this deal a couple weeks ago to burn kohl's cash and a fire stick 4K on prime day promo. About to swap both out for fire cubes. I've had the second gen cube for over a year and use Bluetooth so much on older TV sets (2012 Bravia and Sony 940-d both don't support Bluetooth headphones)
The private listening Roku app method for Bluetooth is 2/10. I plug my phone in whenever I use it. Fire stick doesn't support airplay on my devices.

Anyone else have issues with Movies Anywhere and/or Vudu not passing Dolby Digital through the TV's ARC to their receiver? It's only those two apps. Every other app doesn't seem to have a problem so now when I want to watch one of my movies I have to go to the terrible Sony smart menu and pull it up locally.

I normally agree but lately out of the blue it's been loading apps from scratch again and telling me to get an SD card to stop it. I haven't installed anything new in awhile. Pretty annoying.

You can control it with the Roku app but I don't think you can cast to it like a chromecast enabled device. It's got some sort of half-assed cast feature that lets you cast to it but it just opens up the native app on roku. You're not actually casting from your phone, you're just sort of telling it to open an app. I haven't bothered trying it out to see how it works.
