Not a great price. They've included the stand in the $499 price before. Also, Home Depot has had this for $349 on a previous Black Friday. They may bring it back again this year if you are patient and willing to wait it out.

I don't think that is true. The 779 typically goes on sale, as you mention, but not the 780 the OP references. At least not that I have seen. The difference between the two is predominantly the shadow light that comes on the 780. It is worth noting there is a kit to add the shadow light to the 779 but it will run you about $70. I bought the 779 this past Black Friday and the kit. It's cheaper but requires some DIY.

I did click the link. Clearly it has been on sale more in the past but that link also shows the list price as $499, not $599. So it's gone up in price since then (because of Covid?) and hasn't been on sale for the last 7 or 8 months. I would be surprised to see it for $350 again but agreed, if a person doesn't actually need to use the saw anytime soon they could keep waiting and see what happens

This saw was priced at $349 for ONE DAY back in 2019 . You don't want to go without a saw for another 2 years on the Chance it might drop that low again....?
