IMO, still a great price for this set that gets marked up and sells out all the time.

Even at this price it is a rip off, plus 50% shipping.

I've got the Lego bouquet and it's wonderful. For those interested, alternative block manufacturers have hundreds and hundreds of items that Lego has never made. Block quality has come a long way. You can get a hanging basket for instance. There's a whole world out there!
Could you please link me the hanging basket (and anything else you think is cool)? A quick search on Amazon didn't come up with anything fruitful. Thank you!

Max 2 sets without a slick $15 add-on, or other way around the shipping charge kills the deal for me and makes me wonder why this is FP-worthy - do these really sell out that often? I feel like I see them all the time.

LEGO is a premium toy. If you cannot afford it, it is not for you.
Don't get upset. Don't get insulted. It's a truth.

I don't walk into Maserati dealerships and proclaim, "Buy why?! I can get a used '82 Toyota Corolla for less"!

Mega Bloks, Construx, Brictek and all the knockoffs are for you.
Enjoy!

I love Lego but good lord, their e-commerce system is living in the late 90s to early 2000s at best. They ship you an invoice slip, and you get a PDF of your order emailed to you. Lastly the only way to cancel an order/item is to call on the phone.
It works, though. Also, PDF's and actual invoice slips / packing slips are the norm in the B2B supply chain sphere.
