Hey guys - Just a quick PSA for when these orders likely get xcled - When you call to complain, whine, threaten to never shop at HD again, yell at or say how you'll sue them, blablabla, remember that the person you're speaking to didn't cancel or decide to do so to your order. They will stick to the script. Take the 20% off your next order, free ship or whatever consolation offer they give and move on.
They aren't getting paid enough to care about your interpretation of a law or that you will never shop there again and how much you spend there. Trust this.
Should go without saying, but some of the posts here are pretty concerning...
Haven't got any email from HD on cancellation but just went to my HD account and see the status is updated to "This item is no longer available. You can request cancellation". Don't know what happens if I don't request cancellation.
As someone who has worked in furniture warehouses, I am not sure you know what you're talking about. Most of the mattresses sit against the wall of warehouse that are the size of 5+ football fields. Yes, it takes up room, but not as much as you would think. Let's not forget when the orders are places they get shoved into containers with 50+ docks. While this will most likely be cancelled it isn't crazy to think that HD had 8000+ especially when we are talking about 3+ warehouses at the very least an east, mid and west warehouse. As someone how has worked in logistics this is easily doable.
I could agree with your experience, except HD isn't a furniture store. It makes more sense for them to have acres of weed killer, PVC pipe and lumber, more than it does mattresses.
Check out Overstock. I always purchase foam toppers from there. Make sure you find/use a coupon code for Overstock's website. They're like Kohl's - always use a coupon code with them.
FYI - I would stay away from any topper that's thicker than 3". You'll sink and it will NOT be comfortable. I learned that the hard way.

But a resounding YES. If you have a conventional mattress (especially if it's really firm or getting old/worn), a quality memory foam topper (and a nice, thick mattress pad) will transform your bed. It's really quite amazing how much of a difference it makes.
Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try to extend the life of a pillowtop that sank in and broke down after only 4yrs and $1,000+ later. Never buying a pillow top again, unless of course, like this b/c of the scorching price.

I put a Lucid 4" gel topper on a firm mattress and love it. They make 2" and 3" versions as well.
...and I've been searching for a king sized mattress! Fixing up a Deal Alert so, if by chance, I don't miss a deal on a king mattress again. Thinking this a once per decade deal. 😢

I used a cash back site to buy this and received the following message from them "Home Depot verified your purchase. Your cash back reward is coming soon!
Image
$15.84 09/01/2021*"
The subject line was "Home Depot let us know you made a $198.00 purchase."
I don't think this means anything but hopefully Home Depot is honoring the price. Just thought of sharing with the SD community.

Also consider a 2" pillowtop on top of the Lucid gel. It makes the bed a bit tall, but it's like sleeping on a cloud.
