Even I have the same thought!! Is it worth to convert to unlimited 1.5% cb from single category 3 %?🤔
That's... pretty interesting....

I'd be sure and keep a copy of that if you take the offer

(which I would- I do have the travel card but never use it after having gotten its own signup-- this conversion would get me a SUB without a new account/hard pull AND let me ditch the premium rewards card that forced me to find value in the airline credit to keep getting 2.625% cash back on non-cat purchases)
I really should open one of these. Heavily invested in the bank of America ecosystem already. I get 5% back across multiple categories. This would be a great addition for flat rate cash back, but I already have a 2% card. Not sure it's worth a credit pull to get a little more

I got a mailer offer for converting my Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Credit Card to this one - spend 1000, get 200 offer.

It explicitly mentioned that there will be no credit pull. I already have two of the cash rewards credit cards, but I am tentative because I recently got one Amex with Spend 3K, get $350 offer recently - mainly for 6% CB on groceries.

Decisions, decisions.

That actually doesn't sound too bad. I paid a grand on winter tires alone.

I would wait until Labor Day if you can - Discount Tire generally has at least $100 off sets every Labor & Memorial day; if you club that with the credit card offer you could save around $400

What is qualifying spend here ? Does it have to be retail purchases or can it be like paying insurance or electricity bill too that counts ?

Anything but cash-like or cash advance transactions. Paying insurance and utility bill is usually coded as purchase but sometimes you will be charged a fee for paying by credit card.

Anyway to remove "featured" from the popular list? See that sd allows buying a position in the list instead of letting the community decide what's popular.

Anyone get their new card in the mail yet? Wonder if it really does take the full 3-4 weeks...

BoA offers Museums on US with a variety of museums that they work with to have the first weekend of each month be free with a card.

See the list here https://about.bankofamerica.com/e...tners.html

I believe it os only one admission per card, so you'll want one for your spouse too. They do offer a card with a different name, but for $200, get a new one in their name.

I guess you could do an authorized card for your child, I wonder if the museum would flinch at a 7 year old handing you a credit card for free admission?

The new card DOES have a foreign transaction fee.

I took advantage of the special offer 2 months ago and it says in the email I got that there is no foreign transaction fee. Almost like they grandfathered people who had the travel rewards card to spread the word of how good the unlimited cash rewards card is. Same card number and everything.

Will there be a hard inquiry on my credit report from BOA?

If you apply for a new card, then yes.

If it is a product change, then no.
