Even I have the same thought!! Is it worth to convert to unlimited 1.5% cb from single category 3 %?🤔
That's... pretty interesting....

I'd be sure and keep a copy of that if you take the offer

(which I would- I do have the travel card but never use it after having gotten its own signup-- this conversion would get me a SUB without a new account/hard pull AND let me ditch the premium rewards card that forced me to find value in the airline credit to keep getting 2.625% cash back on non-cat purchases)
I really should open one of these. Heavily invested in the bank of America ecosystem already. I get 5% back across multiple categories. This would be a great addition for flat rate cash back, but I already have a 2% card. Not sure it's worth a credit pull to get a little more

I received an invitation for converting an existing card to this card with a $200 incentive offer. It's been over 3 weeks and I still have not received the new card or any information on the conversion. Did anyone that converted a card experience long delays in receiving their new card?

1.5%l blech. I have two cards that give me back 2% on everything and others that give me 3,4,5% in various categories. Only thing this card is good for is a quick churn for $200. I have no reservations about taking advantage of B0fA after the monster they've become. Open, spend $1K, cash out the $200, close. End of relationship.

For me the best combination of cards:

I run 3 Bofa cards (Platinum Honors member gives +75% to points):

Cash Rewards Visa: 5.25% CB on select category and/or 3.5% CB at Costco up to $2500/qtr combined
Cash Rewards Master Card: 5.25% CB on select category up to $2500/qtr
Premium Rewards Visa: 3.5% CB on dining and travel and 2.625% CB on everything else no limit. $100 airline incidentals credit /year, $100 every 4 years TSE Pre or Global entry credit. No foreign transaction fee. $95 annual fee

Chase:

Cash Ink: 5% CB at office supply stores and internet, cable and phone services
Freedom: 5% CB on rotating categories, this quarter grocery stores and streaming services

Amex Blue Cash Preferred: 6% CB grocery and streaming services, 3% CB gas and transit ($95 annual fee) + great CB Amex offers here and there.

Again, the real value of the card is if you're a preferred rewards member.

BoA offers Museums on US with a variety of museums that they work with to have the first weekend of each month be free with a card.

See the list here https://about.bankofamerica.com/e...tners.html

I believe it os only one admission per card, so you'll want one for your spouse too. They do offer a card with a different name, but for $200, get a new one in their name.

I guess you could do an authorized card for your child, I wonder if the museum would flinch at a 7 year old handing you a credit card for free admission?
I never had name checked at a museum, use CC for myself and debit card for a companion for free entry, they just glance to see its a Bofa card. Going next weekend 2 free tickets normally $35 a piece. Ka-ching.

I got this mailer offer in mail, but misplaced it. Called BofA to ask about the offer and they said I have no promotions available for my CC and that I'd have to just apply for a new card for this offer. I have 2 cash rewards and 1 travel reward CC with BofA. Anyone have luck getting this offer approved, but do not have the mailer on hand?

If you sign in your BoA account, you can tell whether your card has been successfully converted. I had submitted the conversion request 10 days ago, and the name of the card finally changed on my BoA account earlier this week. I'll give it another week for the new card via snail mail to arrive.

That is my same thoughts. I was debating if to open another CC which I did so I will just use this for my normal use bill etc after I am done catching up I will just get the $200 and probably stop using it and done with it.

There's no way in hell I want to be a preferred anything at BofA. Bank of America was the bank I had my first savings account at when I was a teenager in San Francisco. Back then they were an awesome bank and still operated by A.P. Giannini's values. Then they got acquired by Nation's Bank in the late 1990s and well, forget about Giannini. After 25+ plus years as a loyal customer they proved too me too many times after that that they didn't give a damn about me or any other loyal customers. I closed my last BofA accounts about 15 years ago, but I will gladly take them for the $200! I already have a 2% card from Fidelity. Works great.

100K+ balance required for that. And then they probably will give you a garbage interest rate on your 100k+?

Most people just move their IRA over to Merrill edge to satisfy the requirement. That's what I did. Then I just invest in low cost ETFs (VT)

Ty OP, needed another CC just to increase my credit more. Was waiting for a decent sign up bonus with no annual fee.
Not the greatest APR, but I pay my cc off every month anyways.
