As far as I have been able to track down, the hash rate limiters are transparent when gaming. They were marketed as ETH (Ethereum) specific, so they may not impact whatever the next big thing is in crypto mining, but that particular game of cat and mouse is hard to predict.

To the baboons in this thread buying this to resell on Ebay, these are already being sold on Ebay for $850-900. You're not gaining much and you still have to pay double the taxes. You won't make profit here.
