For example: some users said their phones didn't "qualify" but Samsung still kept their phones and charged full price.
If I'm trading in (which most of the time I don't), I would only do physical trade-in with a carrier. That's just me
Traded in S7 Edge for Note9.
Traded in Note9 for Note20 Ultra
Traded in S20 for S21
I've done other trade-ins through Best Buy at launch, either for carrier deals that made it cheaper or due to the rumors that Samsung was shady with trade-ins.
But I haven't had a problem.
In fact, the Note9 had a really deep scratch in the screen, almost a crack really but it never spread (was about the length of pinky nail but super deep). I tossed a glass screen protector on it before I sent it in and it was accepted no problem.
I hope Samsung doesn't listen to you because people like you will never be happy.
Still, the pen outside of the device is terrible. I don't know anyone that prefers that.
My past two trade ins have been nightmares. Traded in my iPhones and they said it was blacklisted. These were my wife's and my personal phone that was fully paid off and unlocked by ATT. I spoke with a Samsung rep and All he could tell me is that the system found it blacklisted. Samsung sent me a picture showing that it was blacklisted but it's just a picture of the phone on the start-up screen.
This is not just my experience but many other customers on the Samsung forum chat. Beware and be warned.

But it looks like that train has sailed.
One had her phone glass break twice.
Samsung giving away Samsung Care as a pre-order "gift" seems like they already know the fold 3 is fragile and will break a lot.
I would hate to have to wait weeks and not have my phone while Samsung Care fixes it.

I had Samsung replace my Fold 2 twice under warranty due to hinge problem. Without warranty, its $650 to repair internal screen.
