Ordered 2 last round and sent them right back. One was in great condition with a bad battery and the other was beat up with a bad camera. No way these things were tested...so YMMV, good luck if you order!

Uninstall a game you no longer play because you can always redownload it? Do you need 80 games? I'm just asking lol.
Ah...uninstall! Brilliant! That's the correct and ONLY answer if you don't have an SD card slot.

By your logic if you had a micro SD card slot with a 1tb SD card. Once that is full will you complain it doesn't have 2 micro SD slots? Just curious.

No...but without that option in the first place...wouldn't you be much worst off? just curious.

Anyone use a phone as a webcam? Thinking if it's worth getting an LG webcam for calls or something like this that can have more use as well...

Other then a 32gb iphone I have never seen anyone that I know fill the storage on a phone unless they were taking piles of photos and not uploading them to the cloud. Looks like phones like these are not for you. Glad to see your side of the story. I used to be salty about headphone jacks being removed. Then I noticed everything I use on my phone is Bluetooth I leave my hifi audio for home with a dac amp so I got over it.

The deal price lately is often misleading. They strike off $799 and make $90 look alot cheaper. Of course, who'd pay $799 for dent, scratch, 3-4 years older model? Worst of all, even Google wouldn't pay you $100 for a similar model trade-in.

Install accubattery in your phone (not doable if you don't have enough space and just relying on cloud storage like a couple of posts above implied LOL!). https://play.google.com/store/app...ccubattery [google.com]
Thanks so much. Will try it out.

Means little. My original Pixel XL (2016) got android 10 last fall and it's never had a glitch and runs like new. Unlimited photo storage is a big plus.

I recently got a new Pixel 3 as it's the first Pixel to have both bands 66 & 71 for T-Mo's expanded network. Zero bloatware on both.

As someone with an aging Galaxy S8, would this be a worthy upgrade at this price?
I think it would be a good replacement...not really a huge upgrade. I had this phone since it came out and it's been great. Screen is really good except for the notch but haven't really noticed it. Has all the things you need like wireless charging, battery life especially for $90. The camera is really good too. If you don't need an iphone and just use it for youtube,fb messenger, tik tok, gps it's still a great value for $90. Don't know about the woot refurbished tho so be careful. TBH I wouldn't buy this if you don't have any problems with s8

Completely agree with you. At first I didn't like the idea of the lack of headphone jacks, but over time I preferred using wireless headphones for the convenience. I can't say the same for the need of SD card slot. I don't think I'll ever get over that especially if companies like Samsung and Apple charge a premium to upgrade from 128gb to 256gb to 512gb. Lol.

Also, does updating the operating system to 10 or to 11 slow it down?
I have a Pixel 3 XL and haven't noticed a slowdown.

About the "prolong the life of your phone" thing... I have an OG Pixel XL and it is still working well. No more updates but it is still working well. You're implying once you don't get android updates, your device would be bricked /useless which is not the case.
I like to have a moment of silence for all the BB10 users come Jan 04 🥲

I own one of these mostly for the unlimited backup at original quality benefit (up to January 31st, 2022, then high quality afterwards) but also as a spare. They are great, competent devices for what they cost. The night sight is pretty good though the iPhone 12's shoot a more "believable" dark photo in certain circumstances.

Bootloaders are locked if they are from Verizon, the IMEI for those devices usually start with 35. Others may or may not be bootloader locked.

Also Pixel 3's can update to Android 12 when it comes out. It works fine on the latest version, Android 11.

I'm sure it's solid functioning hardware and I guess it's ok if you're using the device for gaming and nothing personal. Per this article:
"If your phone has a software vulnerability that crooks already know how to exploit, for example to steal data or implant malware, then that vulnerability is going to be with you forever."
