You need to have a paid (ie has an annual fee) chase card to have that option.

If you do it should be readily available at the ultimate rewards website

(though as noted this particular transfer isn't terribly worthwhile unless you have a specific, high value, redemption lined up)
Thank you, I don't have any CC with annual fee, that makes sense now why I don't see transfer option

I think the Sapphire still has the 100k pt bonus, if you are looking for a new card.

You will almost always be better off transferring to Hyatt even with the bonus.

While I don't disagree with the sentiment usually I've got 2 nights @ 30k/night for a hotel that is running $500+/night and another 5 nights @ 50k/night for a hotel that's currently running those days @ $1,200+/night.

There can be good value in the transfer, you just have to really have a reeeeeeeeeeeeally good use case for it Big Grin

Generally a bad use of chase points. I'm not saying there aren't situation s where it might make sense but generally it's a bad idea. I'm a Marriott guy with many hundreds of thousands of points and there's no way I'd value when at 1.5 cents a point broadly.

I have yet to see a post for UR point conversion option that receives "awesome value for UR points". All redemption options are terrible. Keep 'em until you die! laugh out loud

Newbie question, how do I transfer points to airline? I don't see that option on my chase account…
You need to have the Preferred or Reserved card

I've always read that you hold them until you need them for specific redemptions at their transfer partners. And that Hyatt and United are where you'll get the most value.
Hyatt I have repeatedly heard, but United?

Value there isn't as good as you can usually get transferring to airlines or Hyatt.
Any insight as to why hasn't Hyatt devalued like the other reward pograms? Is it becuse it wants to be the #1 "Go To" program for hotel points? Separately there are certain Hyatt hotels (hoefully just a few) that have devised nefarious methods to deny use of Hyatt points. Read on.....

Yep. I wouldn't waste points on hub-to-hub in coach, but there are some good values to be had. International business class is the classic use of travel points, but flights to/from smaller airports, and/or last minute flights can get some great value.

Not great redemption for UR but with the travel frenzy some hotels are $1,500 a night or 70,000 points which is solid redemption Marriott wise

So, when you are at these expensive hotels, are you staying within the hotels all day to get your maximum value, or do you go and explore the place where the hotel is located? If you are out for 8 hours, isn't the "inherent value" essentially 1/3 of what you claim it is? I am not trying to be argumemntative but trying to understand how one can secure maximum value at expensive hotels.

What is your take on the Amex Platinum card which now offers 150K points (via cardmatch) but has a stiff annual fee of approx $700?
