HDMI has had different versions that require more bandwidth, the most recent being 2.1 which is needed for 8k or 4k@120 (popular with Series X and PS5 owners). If a cable isn't rated for that much bandwidth, it may not be able to correctly support higher resolutions or frame rates, or other advanced features.

Unless you're trying to do next gen gaming or 8k, these cables will be fine.

HDMI is digital so cable quality doesn't matter much unless you're running longer distances. More expensive cables won't make the picture look any better than cheap ones. New HDMI spec cables come out every several years that allow more data to pass through them and are backwards compatible. These cables are for devices that need bandwidth for 4k 60hz with HDR. If you just need something for regular 1080p you can use older ver 1.4 cables

I had occasional issues with my Apple TV 4K (prev generation). Someone on reddit told me to get an HDMI cable direct from Apple for $30 [apple.com]. Ridiculous, I thought.

My problem was fixed by swapping out the HDMI cables, but not for one that pricey.

I'll get some of these as extras.
