Battery service is $ 69 for each air-pod plus shipping. Does anyone want to pay $145 to replace batteries? Not, 99% of people will just buy the new ones and throw their old airpods away every 1.5 to 2 years. A lot of "modern? electronics yes pull the same scam. They dont want you to fix them or replace the battery or any components. They want you to keep buying new ones all the time

Pretty much. Keep dumping them in landfills and keep buying new ones every 1.5 to 2 years. I went from 4-5 hours of battery life to 20 minutes and the left AirPod draining way faster than the right.
Upgrading or buying a replacement pair of AirPods simply because the tiny battery degrades fast feels wasteful and expensive.
