FYI, I just checked Apple.com and it works with 5th Gen. I don't know why Best Buy description says that.

I personally do not like this case because theres no protection once you take it off. Also the sides are exposed as well. If you plan to use it laptop mode most of the time its a good choice though. For me however i like to use it tablet mode just as much
