If This is anything like the dethadder elite I'd pass. Mine had the rubber pads fall off in the first 3 months. Misclicks. And the software. I will never buy one again strictly because of the bloatware you are required to install to use this mouse.

Razer is great company with great support, but avoid their mice like the covid. Misclicks and double clicks start around a year in of moderate gaming. Doesn't matter high end or low end Razer mice.

I am tempted to jump on this, but maybe I should hold out for a more "premium" model (better components maybe?) I was a Logitech G mouse fan until I too had the center click fail as well as unwanted double clicking, on multiple mice. I switched to Razer hoping for better luck with the clickers. Going from a G602 to a Basilisk X, so far so good a year in. These are used for work for the programmable buttons and macros.

The rubber grips on the side of my Razer are peeling off. Is rubber cement a good fix, or should I use something fancier like 3M Scotch Weld?

Happened to me too. I used super glue and that held for about 6 months before needing to do it again. Simple enough, but mildly irritating.

Ah yeah, cyanoacrylates don't work well with shear forces or flexible surfaces both of which are present here, so 6 months aint bad!

Interesting to hear that people have been happy with their customer support. I got satan of cs agents... so bad they lost a customer for life and I'm eager to pipe in with a Razer bash.
3 months after buying the mouse it started going bad with the double click problem. After waiting a month to get a response from cs the agent says 'what is the serial number'. I reply same day, repeating the info that's in the initial claim. A week goes by 'what is the problem with the mouse'. I reply, same day. A week goes by and I get 'what is the serial number?'. This goes on for a month before I give up and file a claim with the credit card company. Happy to say I eventually got my money back and Razer lost my business forever.

I wonder if the mouse issues are related to just being their lower-end or older models, because I noticed you don't hear similar complaints with Viper and Basilisk lines.

pros: ergonomics, button placement and no dpi button underneath the scroll wheel (personal preference).

cons: software and durability

I have an old deathadder from 2013. I bought it because it could be configured for left handed ergonomics. Honestly its still running strong.
