Thanks to nadanunca from this thread that I found this deal.

Best price for Verizon customers are $450 + $40 + Tax.
Best price for Non-Verizon customers are $500 + $40 + Tax.
Personally, I did order a few items and no filler items.

The best deal I found for JBL 9.1 is $800.
https://slickdeals.net/f/14503514-jbl-bar-9-1-channel-soundbar-system-with-surround-speakers-and-dolby-atmos-800-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

To get this deal, you need 5 items. Doesn't have to be the same kind but those that are eligible for "Buy more, save more. Now buy 3 regularly priced accessories to get 40% off, 4 to get 45% off, or 5+ to get 50% off" promo.

1. Sign up for the 10% accessories promo code at https://www.verizon.com/discounts/vaccination/ It took a few hours to receive mine, but they say it may take up to 24 hours. Also note that you need to enter a Verizon number. The form accepts non-Verizon numbers, but I'm not sure if they'll send codes to them.
2. Add the JBL 9.1 [verizon.com] to cart
3. Add 4 filler items to cart. A few examples, OtterBox Fast Charge Wall Charger USB-C, 20W [verizon.com] or Verizon USB-C to USB-C 6ft. Braided Charging Cable [verizon.com].
4. All items will show up as 50% off.
5. Enter the promo code, bringing the JBL 9.1 to $450.

Other interesting 50% off items.
JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One Soundbar from $199 to $99
JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass Soundbar from $299 to $149
JBL Bar 5.1 Surround Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer from $499 to $249

i think what makes this unique is true wireless surrounds. no wires, no receiver. IMO all the other soundbars who claim wireless surround are fake. They all have some form of wires needed to be plugged to an outlet. Whether it be the subwoofer back there that then daisy chains the surround, or a separate surround receiver that has to be connected to power.

And honestly, i think soundbars more than 5.1 are all gimmicks, anything more that simulate atmos by bouncing are mehhhh. now companies are reaching more with 11.1 on a sound bar lol

If i wanted an atmos system i would build real one with properly placed atmos speakers using height and position and not bounce like soundbars.

I would never get this 9.1 at regular price or even 700s for that reason. And why the 5.1 version of this is my favorite, BUT at the SAME price as the 5.1 version then yea it was no brainer and take the atmos feature as a bonus for those who think it does it effectively.
I have the 5.1 version(with surround speakers), the only good thing is true wireless like you said, and good bass, that's it, the sound clarity is really not good, most of the time I have to turn up the volume to hear dialogs then turn it down when the action hits. and right after warranty expired, the sub stopped working. Luckily as I never registered the warranty, they actually agreed to send me a replacement but I had to pay like $80 to ship it back.

Just curious, but how did not registering the product help you with the warranty claim past the expiration?

Because there's no warranty start date, the rep told me not to send them my receipt so he just put I purchased this year.

What setting do you have your subwoofer on?

I watched one reviewer on youtube mention this as well. Said that while most speakers lack mids, the JBL speakers seem to lack highs. That means dialogue and sound affects are not as crisp as he'd like. Another complaint was not being able to save settings. When listening to music vs watching a movie you may want to have different settings for the sub, mid, highs. Overall the reviews are positive but it's by no means perfect. At this price point I can try them out and if I don't like it, easily profit off selling them slightly used.

It's definitely not bad for $250, for $500 yes they're lots of choices out there. I live in condo building so that's what bothers me the most is that I have to keep changing the volume so my neighbors won't complain. And yes the bass is a beast, I normally only turn to 5-6(30 being the max) so my downstairs neighbor won't complain. 😂

? You know you can adjust the subwoofer individually, right? I believe it only goes from 1-5 unless it's different on the 9.1 system. I think you are talking about volume. I also live in an apartment and probably going to keep the sub on 1-2 to minimize pissing my neighbors off.

Yes I know. The bass adjust range it's 0-30 if I am not wrong. However the problem is in order to hear the dialogues, I have to turn the volume up to like 20 or higher, then when a big scene comes, I have to quickly turn it down to 15 or lower, as I said, the bass is really good so even only at 5 I still need to turn the volume down. Now I have the Samsung Q900A which it's a huge improvement for the sound clarity.

And I am only talking about the 5.1 surround, not the 9.1. 9.1 said to have improved a lot.

Regardless of what happens, they'll probably think twice about categorizing a $999 soundbar as an accessory moving forward. Either that, or they'll pay more attention to their exclusion list next time they run a deal like this. These likely sold below their cost and any large corporation such as VZW would rather subject their Customer Support team to a barrage of irate callers about cancelled orders than take a hit on profit margin. Fingers crossed that these ship out, but I won't hold my breath, nor will I bother CS if they don't.

I got mine shipped before posting here.

I also saw there is a night mode but I believe it's only for Atmos formats which would damper sudden loud noises. Funny you mention the Samsung Q900A, because the reviewer I mentioned talked about the Q900T and how it is overall better than the JBL. Looked at prices on Amazon right now and it's at the same price point at this 9.1 version.

Well for the 5.1 surround (with surround speakers) there's no night mode. Probably the virtual one yes as that's a updated version already. I got the Q900A renewed for $500 and it came brand new, added the surround speakers, way better than JBL, but again I don't have 9.1 so I can't compare with it.

I just received an e-mail that mine shipped as well. So it looks like it's coming for me too. What sucks is all of a sudden there is a $100 bonus gift card for a cash back extension that popped up. It always seems like that happens when items are out of stock. LMAO Would have been great to get this speaker for $350. That would've been killer.

How much were the surrounds? Either way, I am not worried, I should be able to flip these speakers for a profit if I don't like it. i could use that money towards a better set up. I do like that the JBL surrounds are truly wireless with no power cord which would be nice if I'm in the kitchen i can move them there for music. I will see...Peace

I had 5.1 with surrond speakers and had the same issue with not clear dialogs then returned it for 5.1 detachable speakers, it was great

No shipment confirmation yet on my end. I'm nervous because I had to place my order over the phone, as the website wouldn't process the order (tried with 3 different forms of payment). This was right around the time the filler items were going out of stock, so I'm hoping that some OOS battery extenders aren't grounds for cancelling my entire order.

No idea how that works with Verizon. I know some places will ship what's out of stock at a later time. The issue may be with the discount dependent on quantity of accessories ordered. Verizon's website is pretty garbage - slow to load, a pain to get anything done, so I'm not too hopeful their order fulfillment process will make any sense. I mean, they have two options when adding an item to a cart: "Continue" ( what the heck does that even mean, continue what?) & "checkout". Both do exactly the same thing - add item to cart and take you to the cart. The options should be "add to cart" so you can continue shopping & "checkout". How hard is that? Good luck. LMAO
