And honestly, i think soundbars more than 5.1 are all gimmicks, anything more that simulate atmos by bouncing are mehhhh. now companies are reaching more with 11.1 on a sound bar lol
If i wanted an atmos system i would build real one with properly placed atmos speakers using height and position and not bounce like soundbars.
I would never get this 9.1 at regular price or even 700s for that reason. And why the 5.1 version of this is my favorite, BUT at the SAME price as the 5.1 version then yea it was no brainer and take the atmos feature as a bonus for those who think it does it effectively.
Just curious, but how did not registering the product help you with the warranty claim past the expiration?
Because there's no warranty start date, the rep told me not to send them my receipt so he just put I purchased this year.
I watched one reviewer on youtube mention this as well. Said that while most speakers lack mids, the JBL speakers seem to lack highs. That means dialogue and sound affects are not as crisp as he'd like. Another complaint was not being able to save settings. When listening to music vs watching a movie you may want to have different settings for the sub, mid, highs. Overall the reviews are positive but it's by no means perfect. At this price point I can try them out and if I don't like it, easily profit off selling them slightly used.

It's definitely not bad for $250, for $500 yes they're lots of choices out there. I live in condo building so that's what bothers me the most is that I have to keep changing the volume so my neighbors won't complain. And yes the bass is a beast, I normally only turn to 5-6(30 being the max) so my downstairs neighbor won't complain. 😂
Yes I know. The bass adjust range it's 0-30 if I am not wrong. However the problem is in order to hear the dialogues, I have to turn the volume up to like 20 or higher, then when a big scene comes, I have to quickly turn it down to 15 or lower, as I said, the bass is really good so even only at 5 I still need to turn the volume down. Now I have the Samsung Q900A which it's a huge improvement for the sound clarity.
And I am only talking about the 5.1 surround, not the 9.1. 9.1 said to have improved a lot.

I got mine shipped before posting here.

Well for the 5.1 surround (with surround speakers) there's no night mode. Probably the virtual one yes as that's a updated version already. I got the Q900A renewed for $500 and it came brand new, added the surround speakers, way better than JBL, but again I don't have 9.1 so I can't compare with it.
No shipment confirmation yet on my end. I'm nervous because I had to place my order over the phone, as the website wouldn't process the order (tried with 3 different forms of payment). This was right around the time the filler items were going out of stock, so I'm hoping that some OOS battery extenders aren't grounds for cancelling my entire order.
