It's probably worth $15. Brace yourself to be underwhelmed.

My car doesn't have Bluetooth and it works great for me. Google maps and Sirius XM work well.

The top reviews on Amazon for it are kinda worrisome (but it could have been updated since they were written). You think it's worth $15?

Worst Amazon product ever. I'm sure they filter out many negative reviews so that they can move inventory. I've had one since launch. Tried using it the first couple months and it would constantly disconnect and ask me to open the Alexa App daily. The whole point of getting this was so that I didn't have to touch my phone and open an App. I don't even use it as a paperweight it's pissed me off so much. You've been warned.

My car doesn't have Bluetooth. I know it can connect through aux. but can this be used to stream music from my phone to my car ?
why cant you just connect your phone directly to your aux then?

i think your music will sound better than a bluetooth to this device then to aux while using another plug in charger

All iphones and some Samsungs no longer have aux outputs (in order to pump up sales of overpriced Bluetooth headphones). Using a dongle is a pain.

You need the cassette tape adapter.

Same. I was really hyped about this when it first came out but it barely worked. Now it just sits on my air vent.

Can this thing get data from your phone through bluetooth or do you have to connect it through Wifi for it to get data? I wouldn't mind if it auto connected to my phone through bluetooth but I don't want to have to activate a Wifi hotspot every time I get in my car!

Save your money, one of the worst products in the Alexa line. Always failing to connect, did resets each time and finally collecting dust.

It uses your phones data connection.

Cheaper than buying a remote control for the gate w EWeLink hookup to my gate (Sonoff w 4 channels).
Alexa turn on open
Alexa turn on close
Alexa turn on stop
I have the Sonoff 4ch for my two garage doors/lights and it was tricky to get the commands correct since you have to use it as a momentary switch setup.
I use "Alexa, activate garage 1 (or 2)" as both my stop/start commands. Had to setup it up as a voice routine in the Alexa app.

I have this and it works well for me. At $15 I highly recommend to anyone who has a car with aux and no Bluetooth.
