Where? A $400 windows laptop will have a plastic crap build, terrible display, and handle the 8gb ram it comes with worse. What are you doing on a $400 windows laptop you can't do on a premium Chromebook? You're not video editing on one and definitely not gaming on one so I don't see better than this for browsing, emails, entertainment, word, college, etc. For the price comparison that is.

This made it to the front page the last two times it was at this price (one month ago, two months ago).

I'm using this laptop to type this -- best Chromebook I've ever owned. Just super fast and wonderful screen, although with horrible speakers. The 2021 version of this laptop has 11th gen CPUs + fingerprint readers but they have yet to go on sale.

The only Chromebook better than this is the updated version of this (and the Galaxy Chromebook 1 if you ignore battery life)

I'm typing on this exact device right now actually, shoddy speakers are the biggest flaw, and even they aren't the worst sounding, just wouldn't describe them as "good".

9/10 device at a pretty good price.

Having used both side by side for an extended period, I'd go with this. The galaxy chromebooks screen is better, but not by much. The speakers on this are horrid, but the battery life difference is night and day. I just don't see the point in a thin and light premium device that can't actually last for 4 hours off the charger. This device is an all around great Chromebook just know how bad the speakers are going in so you aren't disappointed.

Aside from poor speakers, I don't like how the wifi takes 5-10 seconds to reconnect when opening the lid (waking up from sleep) and how the tiny protrusions (feet?) below the hinge (purpose to raise the Chromebook off the desk slightly for better air circulation) uncomfortably poke into my legs when placed on my lap.

But otherwise it's a great Chromebook.

This is a great Chromebook and runs circles around everything else for the price. Speakers were kind of a killer for me, and ultimately I went with the Galaxy Chromebook 2. If you're not worried about media consumption and aren't quite as concerned about the tablet form factor, this is hands down the way to go. FWIW, I purchased mine in "fair" condition from Best Buy along with a computer before, and they were both like brand new.

Nope, Chrome OS has no webcam sign in. Pretty good unlock if you pair a Android phone though.
