Tooca 4 Person dual shell tent with two porch rainfly $89 at Walmart

I just picked up this tent for family camping because the design looked pretty good. Similar tents are in the $200+ range, so I ordered and put it up. It looks to be a knock-off or a rebadged KAZOO tent seen on Amazon for $130.

It is pretty compact for this size tent(fits into my bug-out camping bins), and packs into its bag really easily. The inner shell is mesh, and the rainfly stays separated from the inner shell so it will probably prevent seepage.

The materials are lightweight and zippers aren't super thick so I can't speak to durability, but the design is near perfect. Plenty of ventilation and room to move around. The porch also has plenty of room to act as a mud room. I picked up another just on design alone.

I agree. I got most of my tents under $100.
This is obviously a shill post, would not be surprised if people commenting are associated with the company.
(I don't mind shill posts if they are a good deal. This one is not)

You can literally google "4 person tent" and find something better if you need a tent right now.
Yep, pretty sure the dude up there who had positive things to say about the tent and registered in 2015 is a shill, he's just been playing a REAL long game.

Also, a bunch of the new reviews have actual pictures attached to them, so it's tough to say how much is a shill vs how much is legit. If the tent works and keeps out bugs and water, that's a good price for a tent. The "Name Brand Tents" in the same price range will be the same quality, probably from the same factories to boot.

Do you have a comparable size tent that would be a better option at this price so I can compare?

I have been using the one below for the past 3 years for me, my wife, and two small kids. We use the tent for sleeping and don't really hang out in it during the day. We have a pop up canopy that we take that we use for shade. The Coleman is a 6 person, I can stand up in it, and you can adjust the airflow.

My issue with that design is the rain fly. It doesnt cover the whole tent, so most of the rain water hits the sides. I prefer the tent itself to remain completely dry, since touching the sides from the inside can cause seepage

As someone who is not a tent expert, can you point me to a better one at this price point? Don't want to throw my money away or anything.

$52. Now this seems like a good deal.
My two requirements when buying a tent is:
1) It uses clips rather than sleeves for the poles
2) Poles need to be aluminum. When putting together the poles, they just lock into place by itself. Also don't have issues with it splintering like fiberglass.
-It will be hard to find aluminum poles at this price point.

Agree on everything you've said there. I definitely prefer aluminum. Unfortunately I'm in the market for a 6 person right now

Agreed on all.

That looks like a hell of a deal

I don't understand why anyone would spend $90 on a no-name knockoff 4 person tent when there are so many tents in that price range from reputable companies.
Knock off of what? Why are you concerned about what someone's purchase?

Me neither.

Get a cheap tent ($35):
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-.../945795612

Or get a super easy setup ($75):
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Colema...n/35761823

or spend a little more and get a more up to date tent with dark rest and instant setup ($120):
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-.../126853659

Ozark Trails has mostly upped their game and they are pretty similar in quality to Coleman. Neither is premium but they are decent. I don't see the appeal of an oddly designed no-name tent and $90 is no bargain.

That's a much better tent deal than the posted one.

One of the keys for me is a full rain fly with plenty of ventilation. The $52 one with full fly is a great deal and I ordered one, but the ventilation is a concern.

Again, I only posted this OP tent after getting it and setting it up. It is awesome for the price.
