Get whatever you want, but if you weren't making a living off the images nobody should particularly care about your kit. It isn't impacting the success of anyone's business, advertising, or events, so it isn't much to brag about it concern yourself with. Most people into cameras are more about specs than about shooting. Which is fine, but it isn't the same thing and doesn't need the same selection criteria.

I would be surprised if the A7C had noticibly better autofocus than the A7 III because the A7 III's autofocus is amazing, it basically has never failed me (in somewhat limited use), so it would be hard to improve on that.
When you factor in the size of the full frame lens, the size of the body isn't that different between the two and the A7 III is going to feel like a beefier camera with better control. Not that I'm knocking the A7C, it's very cool.
