Just got a price match approved for the two i7 16gb that I paid $720 each 2 weeks ago. This is the best laptop I have ever used! And I am not a cheap person when it comes to laptop. All my life I paid $2K per laptop every few years, always bought high end HPs, DELLs. And my office always buys me top end Macbook pro models every 3 years. And I am still amazed by this one. The last $2k laptop that I bought was ~5 years ago And my $3500+tax Macbook is only 2 years old. I am sure if I pay $2k now, that will surpass this one. But this is such a nice laptop. I don't think I will ever have to pay $2k for laptops. I guess technology always advances

Hard pass. The price is nice though. I went with the galaxy book 360. Really liked the size of that thing.

If it was, they would have sold well and wouldn't be offering it at such a discount. You would think they had learn with the Flex1.

It's on purpose, to entice people to get the higher offerings. Like s21 basic vs ultra. If you want all the features you have to get the pro or 360 etc. Lame i agree.

How is the battery life in yours? I returned mine because the battery was miserable. I would lost 5-10% by put it to sleep overnight. And usage wise it's not only like 5hrs before I have to charge. Not sure if I got a lemon?

edit: before anyone asks, I only used it for web browsing and movie watching. nothing intensive.
I haven't drained mine. In fact I bought the two for my twins. But I was playing with it just for fun. I also installed Windows 11 beta on it. I saw battery estimate was varying between 13 hours and even 3 hours randomly, I guess based on load. But the battery drain was quite slow and I was sure that if I was to use it continuously I would get at least 10 hours battery life. It felt on par to my 2021 12.9" iPad pro (around 10 hours also).

How is this as a tablet/touch-screen use-cases ? Just trying to see if I should go for https://slickdeals.net/f/15196855-samsung-galaxy-book-pro-i5-13-256gb-free-buds-pro-637-49?v=1&src=SiteSearch instead
I really like it as tablet. The screen is beautiful and quite responsive. It does feel jittery when swiping/scrolling because I am spoiled by my 120 Hz iPad refresh rate. But there is no hang. It's just visual perception of 60Hz.

In fact I like it so much that I am seriously considering returning my iPad and order another one (my two are for my twins) for my personal tablet use. The big problem is, my company wouldn't let me access corporate resources on my personal windows device. Had a long chat and they refused without company specific imaging and manager approval. That is not a problem for my iPad which has a bunch of company managed apps to access quip, email etc.

i am still hoping Windows 11 Android app support would let me install company specific apps and provision the 2 in 1 as a tablet. If that happens I will try to buy one for myself in the future.

How did you do the price match?
I just contacted support. It took literally 5 minutes or less. Queue position was 1 and immediately got connected. The guy confirmed in a minute that he would issue refund and within an hour I got email confirmation (and a credit card notification) about the refund.

At this point, you are probably correct. It's just that when Flex1 Alpha was released, they had mistakenly put on their website that it did have USB-C charging, so I was hoping that it was a technical neglect on their part that would be corrected on the Flex2.

To me, there is already enough of a difference in the thickness and weight of the book pro 360 among other features that already justify the price point. USB-C should be standard on a Samsung laptop at this price point (it's not like the Flex alpha is dirt cheap in its retail pricing).

It's like if Lexus does not have power door locks in their base model of their car.

I just created an account, entered my .edu email, and then the discounted price shown.
You can buy an edu account on ebay for probably like less than 5 bucks.
