You can run a relay to use fancy smart thermostats with them, but since it's typical to have a thermostat per radiant heat/baseboard heater, you're going to be spending thousands in a typical house, and having just one section smart with the rest of them "dumb" won't yield many benefits. I've got a combined total of 11 ceiling radiant units and baseboard units through my house, and I looked into it and just decided to go with 7-day programmable units instead.
