I have their smart irrigation controller, and it's the most reliable smart product I have in my home. Better connectivity and uptime than my Ring and TP-link smart devices.

I would rather spend the extra $25 for the peace of mind considering the risk of water damage that cost me a ton a year ago.
So... although I came here for this deal, I ended up ordering the Govee based on one of the other poster's comments and some quick research. Dam you, Slickdeals!
Icing on the cake - you can access sensors when the Hub is off and control them, see status etc. So, all that sensor stuff is actually in the app, sync happens in the background and if it cannot do it, it doesn't report.
That being said, the system is rock solid for a year now - app notifications always arrive, sometimes delayed but emails are prompt. Never got buggy etc. Don't like that I have to baby sit it (test each month that a sensor is not dead) but do like that it just works. Would definitively change it for something else that can report when something goes bad; just is impossible to baby sit all electronic devices nowadays. or at least the alarm devices - want those to work for me.
I did a rough calculation of about more than 16 thousand (16,000) flushes in my lifetime and never experienced a damage more than about $50 in carpet damage. And that's just myself not including others' flushes.
Since I do not live in a cold region, I can't speak for everyone. But most water damage is caused by in-house water heaters and under the sink, and pipes. Also having a damage water pressure regulator puts a toll on pipes and appliance which can lead to water damage over time especially if you live in a very cold climate or extreme fluctuating climate changes.

So, last year I had a scenario where I had a downstairs toilet cause some damage due to flooding. In my case, I just let everything dry out and did not call insurance, but it happens.
What happened?
I had a Toilet with a bad flapper that caused the float value to add water every once in awhile. It got worse and I did not replace it. One of the family members flushed a #2 and didn't notice that it was clogged. Left for the day and that slow-ish leak caused about an inch of water across the entire utility room and bathroom.
The door needed to be replaced, a tile cracked after someone stepped on it, and the grout/etc could still use repair. The subfloor is likely less than optimal, but it's surviving.
If not for that "slow" leak the clog would not have mattered.
