Have been using Nord for 5+ years now and no complaints. Still works super fast, app is great. Highly recommend waiting for $72 for two years deal with 3 months free though

Fairly frequently, doing a search I saw some other deals too. But I think at least a few times a year unless I'm mistaken. Right now I see 89 for 2 years on their website and 3 months free which works out to $3.29 per month, vs $3.25 for this deal.

No, look at previous deal for $47 that got downvoted to oblivion, or others at this price as well. This company is all marketing, on youtube, podcasts, everywhere. They are no better than others.

Seems like the two most popular vpns are nordvpn and expressvpn. I've tried both and was happier with the service provided by nord. Less dropouts when using streaming services than expressvpn, which would randomly drop my connection every 10-15 minutes and I'd have to restart it. This seems like a pretty good deal for 1 year of service if you have some Best Buy reward certificates saved up and nothing else to buy with them. Otherwise you can buy directly from nord and get 40% cash back from rak10

Does it work for geo-streaming (BBC, Netflix)? Or are they able to detect VPN usage and shut that down?

Yes it does, although I havent used Nord for over two years. During the short time testing it out, no problem with torrents. But it wasnt all that quick.

Switched to PIA because it was cheaper and ironically, had faster speeds through their Canadian servers (the closest ones which support forwarding). However, Nord has much better access to geo-restricted streaming content.
