Trade in value on phones is $50 lower on the Z Flip vs Z Fold. Makes sense; one phone is a lot less expensive.

Pondering whether I want to side-grade my S21 Ultra into a Z Flip 3. The Ultra is a beast though, especially the cameras.

My Note 8 I'll actually value at close to $0. It's physically perfect, but overheats extremely easily. I've taken it apart to change the battery and add thermal paste, but it still overheats. So I can't resell it in good faith. But it meets all of Samsung's trade-in conditions, and maybe they can do something more if they refurb it.

So ignoring tax, it's more like:

$1450
- $40 google CB
- $174 japanese CB

=$1236

I'll value the case + pen at $50-60, so like $1190. Acceptable to me.
