We use data wisely (wifi at home/work) so 1GB/month is still plenty even when shared. YMMV. How much does ATT/Verizon/T-Mo charge for 4 lines (even if such an option exist at 1GB shared)? Heck lot.

did they send you a link via email before you pre-order or after you pre-order? i reserved the phone before 8/11, but i am not seeing the $100 credit. I am talking to Samsung expert now, and he is saying, i will get the $100 credit after i pre-order. But i am understanding it differently after reading this thread.

It's still not doing it for me to make me want to upgrade from my Note 9. Guess I'll just go with the Note 20 or wait to see if google comes out with a pixel fold.

Most people are trading in more recent phones.


But yeah carrier deals are usually better when trading in older phones.

The carrier deals just suck this year because they all require new lines. Sprint is the only one that doesn't require new line.



For me, Samsung is the better deal with 30% CB WOW points.

I'll pay $750 for Z Fold 3 512GB after trade and WOW Points.



The Samsung deal is also nice for the FREE 1 year accident protection plan.

So I'm not going through all of these cash back deals. But today I got a text from Samsung in regard to my reservation in additional to 2 different emails for the reservation. The link in the text opened up the shop samsung app, and the price for the fold 3 dropped another further $100 bucks. I've seen this discussed before with the shop samsung app giving additional discount but couldn't replicate it yesterday. I cancelled my previous orders. So my initial order was $1,055 after the fold 2 trade in. Then 958 after the glitch, and now it's 840. Well, I'm not complaning. lol

It's $549 for screen repair WITHOUT insurance per Samsung.

yup, so almost not worth it to repair it if you don't have samsung care, especially after one year but even with "insurance" is almost like having any other flagship and paying a cracked screen repair out of pocket, I wish it was at least $149 like with the fold 2

And to be fair, it can be better almost not to have it.


A lot of credit cards have 120 day accidental protection.

And some cards even have Cell Phone Insurance (Chase Freedom Flex) up to $800 damage.


But usually those things say if you have other insurance that must be used first.


Reminds me I should stop using my Citi DoubleCash since they pretty much took away all the benefits.

you're completely right, the insurance of my wells fargo cc covered the one time replacement for $149 on my fold2, but that was because it was a "promotional price" and not through insurance, otherwise they would have told me to go through samsung insurance instead of theirs

The cell damage protection you only have to pay your phone bill with that card.
