This Laptop is just $33 higher than the current HP 15 Frontpage deal at $299 but the upgrade over that on this laptop is way over that. Below are the advantages: -
This Laptop has a Quad Core Ryzen 3 3350U which is based on Zen+ 12nm architecture, vs Dual Core 3250U in HP with Zen 1 14nm architecture. Due to that, this laptop has slightly better single threaded (around 5% to 7%) and significantly higher (30%) multi-threaded performance.
This Laptop has AMD Vega 6 Integrated Graphics vs Vega 3 in the HP one.
This Laptop has Backlit Keyboard whereas the HP does not.
This Laptop has HDMI 2.0, extremely rare at this price vs HDMI 1.4b in HP
This Has Windows Hello Fingerprint Authentication over the HP Laptop, lacking any kind of biometric.
This has Wi-Fi 6 and an Intel AX200 card vs Wi-Fi 5 based on Realtek card in HP.
Acer Ships this laptop with HDD upgrade kit as well.
Solid laptop for the price. Has one empty RAM slot, caddy for the SATA hard drive/SSD and one empty M.2 slot besides the installed one. Screen is not bad but not fantastic. CPU is very capable even with 4Gb of RAM intel i3 chips are just outdated piece of junk compare to it. Battery life is solid. But don't buy any laptop only because of the specs. Go to the nearest store and try it in real life. I ended up returning my because of the uncomfortable keyboard layout. I still don't get why they're so religiously putting in that stupid number pad and make whole keyboard ridiculously narrow. Too narrow for me. But still might be good for you if you aren't typing a lot. Oh and the last thing - this laptop doesn't charge thru USB type C, only flimsy proprietary skinny charging barrel which doesn't look any reliable or long lasting

I've used the version with Ryzen 5 3500u and for this price, this is a very solid buy in my opinion. Some features like HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, gigabit lan, are simply not available at this price point. The quad core cpu is pretty capable compared to dual core i3 and the Vega 6 GPU is twice faster than Intel UHD Graphics in core i3 based cpu, even the 11th gen.
