This used to sell for $179 during HD weekly sale. Excellent saw with shadow cut guiding line. I feel like the dust collection is worthless and doesn't even collect any so you have to plan for something. Other than that this is very good for DIY. I am not an expert but using this saw over 9 months during weekends for few projects.

I have the 10 inch version, but I've found that the rails are not very stiff and when I cut using the sliding mechanism I get some curve to the cut. If you're looking to do rough carpentry work this is a great option, if you want to build furniture I'd look elsewhere.
Agreed that dust collection is pretty bad, even hooked up to a 1200 CFM dust collector.

Actually, it is not a 'shadow cut' like DeWalt, that no matter if thin or thick kerf, puts a light on both sides of the blade that leaves an exact 'shadow' of the blade cut on the material. This Ryobi has an adjustable led laser type light that shines a red line on the left side of the blade like many others do. I doubt if you will see the shadow cut on other saw brands until the DeWalt patent runs out, that right now, adds a considerable price over their same saw that does not have. Most of us have simply purchased the OEM parts to convert.
Nashville, 37216 zip code in brick seek says 'clearance', but does not reveal the price or allow addition to cart in Home Depot. Will definitely need some help from OP here to make this worth while for everyone

I have one of these, and the dust collection port gets in the way of bigger cuts. As someone else said, the dust collection is not really that useful (dust spews everywhere) so I removed it. Luckily it's just two screws to remove. It still can't cut a big glulam, but now at least it can get a bit closer.
