An AC power strip without ETL or UL listing is not a slick deal, much less at a price that is still within range of reputable products in the same category.

I have 3 of these and they work great and I prefer them over the more awkwardly shaped APC ones. I think Anker brank is a good brand.

The APC is just 2.4 A spread over 3 ports while this one has 18 watts for the three ports so each has 2.4 output.

Your calculation is off. Back to school, young man!
(18w / 5v) / 3 = 1.2A
Each port has a max of 2.4A but you won't get that on all three at the same time.
In all these types of outlet the USB port is more suitable for powering devices (like streaming sticks) than for charging, say, a phone or tablet. It's because of that that I personally find them to be of limited/no use. I'd rather have plain old 120v outlets and use appropriate USB adapters as needed. It's not like there's a world shortage of USB adapters.

Wow, this is nearly perfect except I wish I could see the plug... I need something flat as this is for an outlet that's behind a bookshelf. But there's no picture or description of what the plug looks like.
The anker has the type of plug I need but this APC one is a way better deal.

Product page says TUV. So the German equivalent...I did not verify the listing with TUV though.

In the Q&A it says the APC is a straight plug, not flat.
Edit: This one[amazon.com] looks like a good deal for $11 and has a flat plug but no USB ports.

I actually really like Anker products. They're they only brand of power pack I buy. APC is great and all, but I think you'd be fine with either product. IMO

I ordered 2 of these several months ago for either side of our bed. I'm having an issue where these power strips keep killing phone and laptop chargers. I've now replace 7 phone chargers and 3 USB-C laptop chargers within 3-5 days.
2 weeks ago I replaced the power strip on my side with a plain 6-port power strip and had no issues with my phone charger, but my girlfriends charger got zapped again. These are OE Apple and Google chargers for my Pixel and girlfriends iPhone. They have cost me a pretty penny to replace at this point - I'm throwing out these Anker power strips. Ouch.

Use them on desks and nightstands, they look and work great.
3 plug ones work with 220v, great for travel.
