Pro Tip : Using a credit card to pay at checkout may add tax to your order. I used PayPal and no tax. Other payment platforms may do the same but PayPal was the only other payment option I got on checkout.

I don't doubt your experience, but I've used Tello for years without issue. Just my perspective; YMMV I suppose. Cheers!

It happens to me too. But it only happen if you are in Pay As You Go plan. If you do not add any money to the account for 90 days they will take the balance and after week they will exp the account too. Its in the agreement so its not just take your money randomly. We agreed to that when we buy the plan. But this is the best way to avoid that. This plan for 12 months no need to add money to keep it active.

Thanks for the warning. I have been tempted by Tello deals like this for a few months. A few years ago Tello took away my $25 balance without prior notice.

I think this is a good alternative when you need a step up from the paltry allowance on tracfone.

This is an amazing deal, less than$6/month for phone service. 1GB is fine for kids and retired folks etc.

I'm with tello but find reception worse than mint although both use TMobile towers.

I legit don't get it - the previous thread from June for the same thing for $67 had 200+ replies, +84 rating and a Frontpage status; this one - for $65 - has a handful of comments and mere +1 rating after almost the whole day.

I'm legit concerned what changed with Tello so significantly from June till now that it has such a drastically different reception?

tello network is not very strong it seems. They are switching to GSM network and not sure if this would improve the coverage, when I go in interior parts of the state my phone doesnt work.

I also think they sell customers personal information to third parties. I got hundreds of harassing calling and messages after switched to tello and ported in a number. Scam and advertising calls every day.
