38" wide is too large for my space. Any suggestions out there for best bang for my buck at 30" max?
Try to get a 29" older VIZIO soundbar model SB2920-C6 which is 2.1. I have it hooked up to a low-profile subwoofer from Parts-Express, located under the bed. This setup is in the bedroom and this easily kills my setup with all the mumbo jumbo in the basement, which I spent godly money on to make sure I have accurate and filling sound.
Does anyone know of a Really wireless sound bar? Wife hates wires and I don't wanna drill holes
Take it from me, anything wireless is just crap for audio. Wireless is a major compromise when it comes to quality audio unless you don't give a sh*t about quality.
Also curious whether the budget boys are garbage and it's better to hit Facebook Marketplace
All have the standard TI digital amp audio chip and manufacturers dance around putting different flavors around this chip. They all sound good upto a certain volume and then its all distortion. Most of the time, the low frequencies from the sub become more prominent and it does not matter what soundbar you have unless it comes with the latest Dolby Atmos decoding features and such.
This looks pretty neat. I currently use two bluetooth speakers from Oontz with stereo pairing. Does anyone have any experience using a soundbar like this for their PC audio needs?
I use a Sony hf200 (I think) Bluetooth sound bar with built in sub for my pc. I actually modded it and added an external powered sub via line out to rca jack converter. Now the bass rips your balls off.
Do you guys know whether that soundbar (e.g. SB200SW) has a dedicated central channel for voice? I have a standard 5.1 system at home, but my friend just bought a new gallery-mode TV, flush mounted to the wall, like an LG G1 and says as always either the sound is too loud or cannot hear the voices without a dedicated channel. I think Sonos Arc has a central channel, how about this one? The price difference is 10x loool

"I should get a soundbar for my tv for parties! I'll spend a maximum of $300"
"Looks like from these reviews, I should really spend $500 for this soundbar system"
"What? The most expensive soundbar isn't as good as the cheapest home theater system?"
And that's how I spent almost a grand on a Denon AVR and Jamo 5.1 system. My advice is just to stick with your price instead of allowing the slippery slope to happen.

Bose TV speaker from their eBay store for $179. Wait for a coupon code if you're not in a rush.
AFAIK researching: soundbars are just garbage in general regardless of price. The tech isn't there yet to overcome physical acoustics.
2.1 channel means no central speaker.
Thank you!
