Walmart has the HP01 reconditioned from Dyson for 179.99. I picked one up. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dyson-.../754453371
all resistivity heaters have almost the same efficiency, which is nearly 100%.
I have an AM05 and AM09. Both Dyson refurbs from ebay. I have had the AM05 for nearly 10 years and the AM09 for about 4 or 5 years. Love both. I have had to open both to clean the internals with an air compressor and both are still running strong. They're not as complicated as they look and you can find guides online for disassembly. I waited 6 years before cleaning the AM05 for the first time and it smelled like burning dust every time I turned it on until I finally took it apart and cleaned the lower and upper sections. If yours stops blowing hot or is blowing slow, it will most likely be dust build up and a good cleaning will bring it back to working like new.

What's the difference between them? That one looks shorter.

Hp01 is also a air purifier.

These things are pretty crap unless you want to take advantage of the quiet low settings or want to avoid having a separate fan and heating unit. Guess you can't understate the design appealing to some people as well.

At higher settings, this will be louder and move less air compared to a traditional blade fan.

Yeah I can only use the 01 setting. Anything more and it is noisy as hell.

That price seems gone. How are these for filtering compared to dedicated air filters?

i like this fan. i think the heat function is way better. the cool function is not really cold enough for summer times. It's pretty loud for a product from an engineering-based company like dyson.

Was looking for a fan for the house.

Took a quick look around and eventually decided on the TP02 for $200 refurb (currently on discount) as I actually need a larger fan + purifier more than a mini heater. App features are a plus. Not sure if that's slick, but it's a discount on the normal refurb price.

The more expensive TP04 ($350) is also available, but I'm not sure how I can justify almost double the cost: https://www.dyson.com/dyson-outle...ite-silver

Which color and seller? I see iron/silver for $298.00 from Store Savings and $299.99 from Pexbo LLC (SN RECORDED). Google still shows $179, but not when I click through.

I had a HP01 for a little under 2 years until I couldn't get the H2 error to go away. Is that the error you were getting?

No, I remember getting an error once on the AM09 once but don't remember the code. I didn't get any errors after I started regular cleaning. I believe that issue was common with the HP01 but I've never used that model.
