Does it work with Smartthings?
It works with Hubitat via the Switchbot hub. The driver in use by Hubitat was provided by tomw. I would think ST has a driver, if you have the Switchbot hub. Perusing the ST forums briefly shows that as long as the hub is used, ST detects natively: https://community.smartthings.com...ice/228038 and https://community.smartthings.com...s/183767/5

Otherwise, the Switchbot curtain communicates via Bluetooth and is controlled using the Switchbot app. For smart home automations, including using Amazon and Google voice control, the hub is needed.

Not seeing the solar panel included with the link in the deal ? Also just seeing the regular 99.99 price

edit: Via the OEMs website and pop up 15%off first time coupon code can get roughly the same price

To add an opposite view to everyone recommending these, I would like to say that I do not recommend these if you have a rod with grommet style curtain.

I was a kickstarter backer and bought 6 of these with solar and hub and whatever other bells and whistles they came with. They did not mention in the campaign that you needed to attach a transparent strip of plastic with little pegs every few inches along the top of the curtain for it to work with grommets. They realized throughout the testing process that the motors could not pull the curtain shut without this attachment. The attachment is still slightly visible, and kind of janky looking. It also doesn't do the job properly as the motor would still get stuck on my curtains (especially on ones that had some friction due to low clearance between top of sliding door and ceiling, but even on ones with no extra resistance). I also have extendable IKEA rods, which are 2 different diameters. The motors would consistently get stuck on that part.

One thing I do have to say is their customer support is top notch, as they tried to work through the problems with me and when we couldn't resolve them they provided a full refund for my pledge.

I had these as part of the kickstarter but I sold them. Wouldn't recommend, but it might work better for your situation.

I have umbra cappa double rods hung 6" above the window. The rings touch slightly and this is enough to cause the switchbots to go out of calibration.

Solar panels are mounted too high that they get no sun, hence the entire time I had them connected the power continued to drop even though I didn't use them. If the sun doesn't shine directly on the panels, it won't charge. Ambient light doesn't work.

The wife and I go away at times and sometimes we forget to close our curtains. This might be a great solution for that.

The wife is pretty good at pointing out flaws with my IoT purchases. The minute I installed this, she asked if there was a way to open the curtain manually without waiting for the motor. Back to Amazon it goes.

Fair point. I think that's fine for opening but she was mainly concerned about closing quickly after the bot is fully opened.

Just noobs highly touting a product.
This is a legit product. They launched on Kickstarter and a simple Google search would show you that these are fairy highly-touted. Clearly not a shill post. I've been looking at buying these at regular price so this is a decent deal for me.

I have to admit, for curtains it seems a little unnecessary. It can be a pain to manually open blinds via the pull cord if you have a lot of them but curtains are just one of those things you can throw open in a split second with little effort.

You can definitely tell shill just based on the comments voting feedback. A no name product maybe 1% of people have seen would not get that kind of response.

Or………just look at who posted it to tell if it's paid lol.

HERE [github.com] is a custom integration for HACS in Home Assistant that doesn't require the hub, for anyone looking.
